Josefina's has been a restaurant and inn in Mesilla, Las Cruces for many years. Though the original Josefina is no longer with us, the restaurant is run like a family establishment. You can dine in one of the numerous rooms inside, all decorated in old Mexican style, or on the expansive patio which is where we opted for. It is... More

Road trip from Phoenix to Texas. Stopped for rest and found this restaurant near the plaza in Mesilla. Smells great walking into the door with friendly staff. Spacious patio felt quaint with waterfall in birdbath. Coffee, chips and posole delicious. Highly recommend.

We were in Las Cruces for a reunion. The reunion committee selected Josefina's for our Meet and Greet the first night. There is a lovely courtyard with tables and chairs as well as an interior with same. The appetizers were different and very tasty: stuffed mushrooms, tomatoes/basil/mozarella sticks, quesadillas, and meatballs. Tiny individual desserts were a highlight. The servers were... More

Thus was my first time here, but my wife has been here a couple times with friends. We walked in by the driveway path. The patio is very nice and cozy, while the single band member played some James Taylor, Jim Croce style music . The waiter was prompt to take our drink orders and food order shortly thereafter. My... Lovely covered patio with fountains and live music on the weekends. A great place for brunch or lunch. Fantastic quiche and sides. The squash quesadilla is enough to share and vegetarian. Staff is friendly and efficient.

This is a nice stop for breakfast or lunch and just a halc a block off of the Mesilla square. It is a good place to sit outside, enjoy the outdoors, and lots of southern New Mexico food. I can recommend the posole, the red chile enchiladas, and if you like coconut, save room for ambrosia cake.

My wife loves it. The gate on the front of the building is a tourist attraction. Very trendy, very stylish, but left me less than impressed. I guess I don't have a "sophisticated palate" but I found little that I liked. Not that it is a bad place, but it is not a meat and potato place. At least worth... More

Took 20 min to get order taken, very slow. Took a while for food to come out and waitress forgot to put in half of my order. Then when asked the waitress forgot to check on it. When asked for bill asked again and she had forgotten to check why I didn't get half my meal. Very polite but poor... More

We went here twice during our visit. Both times for breakfast, there was mexican and regular food for those in our group who didnt want spicy! Great coffee, red chile was delicious, perfect french toast with fruit, yummy Ruben sandwich, spicy chorizo and eggs. All were pleased with their food.

Had the Pesole and squash quesadilla! Native New Mexican and I highly recommend this place. Great ambience and very friendly staff and located in Historic Old Mesilla.
