We had dinner here. Oh my goodness! First off - the building is stunning. Use the pamphlet to walk around and explore. It just an amazing place - lots of history and a great way to be entertained as you wait for your meal. The service was perfect! Our waitress was great - very attentive, answered all our questions, and... More

Used to love it here. Margaritas are at least still off the hook!!! Food used to be good too but between the day old rice, roach on the table, nasty water, & sorry enchiladas- I'm not coming back anytime soon. Must be new management - we've been coming here for 10 years and never had a worse experience. Heartbroken. Sad... More

It is a fun place with great service in the same building as the Double Eagle. The food was very good. However, we just came from the cattlemen's in El Paso the day before soooooooooooo, you can't seem to compare with that. My wife had a chicken salad which she loved. I had a steak. Which was good. Then came... More

Peppers is in the same building as the Double Eagle, but at a lower price. Go there for excellent chili rellanos and chicken fajitas. Beautiful setting; you think you are in old Mexico. Drinks are awesome especially the margaritas.

If you want to try non traditional Mexican food, eat at this restaurant. The offerings sound odd, but the execution is outstanding. Even the chips and salsa were the best I have ever tasted. Many types of margaritas, but stick with their standard. Steaks are also available. The decor is marvelous. Take time to explore the various dining rooms. Peppers... More

My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Peppers. Located inside the same historic building that houses the Double Eagle, Peppers is the casual cousin. We ate our meal in a well-lit, enclosed courtyard (that was formerly a corral for the animals of the original owners.) It is a warm and engaging atmosphere that has small formal dining rooms... A light filled covered portal nestled in an historic Mesilla former hotel, this lovely little restaurant is festive, brightly colored and filled with tropical plants. The menu is mostly Mexican, with well prepared and beautifully presented dishes. A late 19th century bar provides a full array of drinks as well as beer and wine. Dining is casual and relaxed, but... While the food was very delicious, especially the queso dip. The drinks were highly overpriced, $ 22 for a margarita that you can not taste the alcohol, not likely. The server recommended virgin daiquiris for the kids and I asked how much they were she said only a few dollars, ha, more like $ 16.00 for a 5 ounce drink.... More
