Northern New Mexico has the best red chile bar none!!! Hatch has the green but can't compete w the red. I bought some of their red chile sauce and took it home.

Went here for breakfast Monday en route from Santa Fe to Espanola. Decent ambiance, good prices, adequate though somewhat slow service, friendly staff, decent food (breakfast burrito). Nothing to write home about, but ok nevertheless.

If you're looking for a good place to get cheap food quick, this is a good bet! I ordered a club and the wife a chicken sandwich. Both were great! The waitress seemed spread thin but the quality of the food made up for it.

Good food. Thier sopapillas are whole grain, healthier than anyone elses and quite good. The only drawback is that they close a bit early at the end of the day

It's old but well kept, perfectly normal for northern New Mexico. Food is basic diner fare and some excellent spanish selections. The staff is friendly and fun, the place is clean and neat, bright and simple. As far as we can tell (haven't tried everything) anything you order will taste good, fill you up, and leave plenty of change in... More

Whenever I go to church with my family, our first choice is the gold dust cafe up the road, but if there is no room there, we go to the roadrunner. It's quiet, respectful waitresses, and Excellent environment. I always order chocolate milk with pancakes and the food is EXCELLENT.

The breakfast Burrito was the best. It can be smothered with Red or green chili or a combination of both. Good coffee. Good service. Any menu item anytime. The Biscuits and Gravy were good.

I am travel nurse who travels all over the US and I like to stop in "hole-in-the-wall" places. Roadrunner Cafe is a small diner with a very warm talkative staff. Food is the usual diner food plus with some New Mexican flavor added in. The only problem I had here is that the morning cook is inconsistent with attendance. But... More

I love hole-in-the-wall places, so I was curious to see what this place had to offer. I had the special: green Chile cheeseburger. Despite only having six or so customers, my meal took 25 minutes to prepare. The server stopped coming by my area after five minutes of my sitting down. She seemed to be distracted, but not by customers.... More

The breakfast are excellent and served all day. They do a good job on the huevos rancheros, and also serve excellent eggs, hashbrowns, toast, sausage, bacon and pancakes in various combinations. These are also New Mexican fare when served with red and or green chile. All are very inexpensive. I'd give it five stars -- but lunch and dinner, while,... More
