This is Taos' most reliably excellent restaurant. I have been eating here for over 20 years and it just keeps getting better. It is clear the chef knows his business and every detail of several courses was perfectly done. The wait staff was very helpful. I was also very please to be treated well when I said I was traveling... More

This restaurant is out of the main part of Taos, but there is free parking. The restaurant's decour is charming and enhanced by all of the original art on the walls. The owner allows local artists to display their works and doesn't take a commission on sales, so there is high quality work on the walls. There is an open... More

My husband and I have been to Taos Trading Post many, many times. Without exception the food is always wonderful and the desserts are fabulous. Everything is homemade and presented beautifully!!!

My family and I decided to have a Mother's Day brunch here this past Sunday. The menu is prix fixe with beverages added. This was our second time visiting the Trading Post for brunch. As previously, it was sumptuous with many choices for all. Brunch is served on the bar which surrounds the grill area, which offers a nice view... More

From the outside I probably wouldn't have stopped in here for dinner, but I read some good reviews and decided to check it out. It was outstanding! Great, warm, homemade bread to start was honestly worth the trip. I had the Piccata Milanese - it's not really Piccata or Milanese, but it's damn good! My mother had the bolognese and... More

A local shop keeper suggested we try this place and that the 3 course pre fixe is a deal. We did and it is a deal. Wait staff was informed about the menue and ingredients. Soup tasty, salad greens were fresh. Pasta dish was done just right. For an extra price the house wine special was a Mondavi red for... More

We went there for dinner and actually enjoyed a very nice dinner! My wife ordered the flounder special as recommended by many and yes, it's good. Well cooked and served with tasty vegetables. For my part I had the pork chop a la carte and besides the pimientos, which I don't care for, it was great. We ended the meal... More

This is a family-owned restaurant that is largely Italian food. The location and building do not give the impression of being such a great place but walk through the door and you'll be surprised how wonderful it is. We were in Ranchos de Taos just before Christmas and stayed at the Aspen & Pines B&B. We were so tired the... More

I am offering this review from the viewpoint of a vegetarian. There is usually one vegetarian main dish on the regular menu. Usually, there is also a special that can be used as a main vegetarian dish. So, if you go occasionally, you will enjoy it. If you want to eat there more frequently, you will eat the same one...
