We had a group of 10 people that came in for dinner after doing photography at Bosque del Apache. We had made reservations for the group so they put us in the back room. The place is nicely decorated but the room was very chilly. Two of the people had been there before and really liked the place. Flour tortilla... More

Because the dining options in Socorro are quite limited, I along with three other individuals opted for dinner at this restaurant. When one of my friends ordered a margarita, he was told that they were out of that along with most of the other alcoholic beverages. Although the menu was extensive and the food portions were very generous, the quality... More

Excellent Mexican restaurant, great selection of classics, something for everyone. Good selection of beer and the chilli is local. Been here a number of times and it never disappoints.

A group of us ate dinner at El Sombrero recently. When we arrived the hostess said "just go find a table for 5", well there were none, only four tops. Then when ordering margaritas we were told "we are out of margarita mix". Really, a Mexican restaurant that is out of margarita mix?? Then when we ordered fajitas, we had... More

Came in for lunch and the locals call this place "Franks and Lupes". It wasn't busy when I arrived so I was greeted and sat quickly. Ordered the open face piblano with shrimp with red sauce and it was great. During my meal it started getting busy and had to wait for a refill drink longer than usual and for... More

So-so food, with a limited and unimaginative menu that seems geared to the Interstate crowd. Unapologetically slow service.

Poor service and very mediocre food, If you can wait to find another place do so, McDonalds would have been better and I can't say much for their food either.

Visited this place for the first time and was not impressed. Very few people came in during dinner time. Wait staff was a little slow and acted like this may be their first day on the job. Food was ok but nothing to write home about and was not real warm when served.

Tricky spot to get to but once you've been you'll be back. Great atmosphere and very decent prices. Six adults and three kids not a problem. Spacious and if a little rowdy they can accommodate so as not to bother other patrons. We've been coming for years and the food and service always the best.

Sopapillas - delicious, Frank's special - flat enchilada with a fried egg on top - yum; kid's meal taquito - my kid loved it, stuffed sopapilla - good. Very reasonably priced and you get a very generous serving.
