Bad food. Dinner and Breakfast. We had to wait a long time for our dinner. There was only 3 couples in the room. Still took forever to get our food. Ordered Nachos with beef. Nachos had hardly any cheese on it. The shredded beef was slices of beef with too much fat on it. Breakfast had burnt sausage, cold eggs,dry... More

Dear Taos Traveler, Please let me apologize for the issues you experienced with our food department. it is rare that we get concerns over our breakfast offerings. Typically our guests enjoy the freshly cooked food and as you see on our reviews on our hotel site they often rave about it being so much better than a typical hotel breakfast.... More

We stayed at the Sagebrush and enjoyed breakfast twice. The breakfast buffet was very nice and the coffee (both the regular and the decafe) were excellent. If the coffee is great, then I am a BIG FAN! Good bacon and eggs, too! The drinks at the cantina were extremely good and there was no skimping on the Tequila in the... More

Seated very fast, got our drinks, my margarita was just perfect. Michael our waiter was super awesome. Chips and salsa were on special for .85 cents. Salad was just the right size. Husband had rib eye that melted in your mouth. Excellent choice for dinner. Very happy.

Dear Sagebrush Visitor, Thank you so much for your kind words regarding Michael. He is a new addition to our team and a very welcome one. Our anniversary special with 85 cent chips and salsa and $8.50 food specials have been quite popular. The rib-eye is indeed one of the most popular items on our menu. We hand cut each... More

There is a generous happy hour. The house specialty is prime rib but the items we chose from the menu were quite good. The corn chowder was delicious. The enchilada was not "chile hot" enough for native new Mexicans!!

Dear Fellow New Mexicans, Thanks for your nice review. I agree wholeheartedly that the prime rib and corn chowder are very good. Our Chef Tim has perfected the recipes and with 30 years experience we know our restaurant is in good hands. That being said, as a Native New Mexican our chile is toned down just a bit in order... While we love to stay at the Sagebrush, I must say their Cantina Restaurant is awful! Totally disinterested waitperson. The only other people in the were a large group. We shared a meal of "RIBS". Served w/ a small dip sauce of BBQ sauce. undercooked fries, w/ketsup, and rotten coleslaw. Never again.

That's the only meal I had there, and I was impressed that the full buffet came with my room. Decent breakfast! and several gluten-free options (the chef came out and talked to me when I asked).

Dear Taos Visitor, Thank you for letting us know that you enjoyed our complimentary breakfast buffet. We take great pains to ensure it is not a "typical hotel" breakfast bar. I stayed at this hotel and ate here 2 nights. The service couldn't have been worse. The first night, we sat outside and it took a half hour to get drinks. Dinner came slowly, "in courses", each person about 30 minutes apart. The last person had to go ask about her food. It seemed to be an after thought and... More

I love the setting of this restaurant. Huge trees, wonderful patio, cool interior due to the thick walls. The food is fabulous. I was impressed.

The only reason I give this place 2 stars instead of 1 is the manager. After a bad meal and bad service she compted our whole meal. She was very nice and understanding, but we won't go back because it's plain to see that the wait staff and kitchen staff have no passion for what they're doing. Better to go... More
