We went late on a Sunday night. Had great service and a great meal. Prices are very good for portions. Everything was fresh and very tasty.

First, you need reservations. This is a small quaint restaurant with a lot of Taos history. Originally the home of the local Doctor Martin. We did not have reservations so were seated at an unattractive table in the walkway. We ordered the twenty five dollar margarita. The server said it would be the smokiest margarita we've ever had. Not good.... More

Dinner at Doc Martin's offers authentic Southwest fare and culture in an historic adobe styled inn. Walking up Kit Carson Rd from our quiet bed & breakfast to Doc's for dinner we delighted in their live music, splendid wines by the glass and my fav Doc's Chile Relleno Platter with blue corn-beer battered anaheim chiles, green chile, rice, pintos, pumpkin... Its hard to beat Doc Martins, been eating here since the mid 1980's. The menu is thoughtfully put together, and the food speaks for itself! A must eat when visiting Taos!

It was one of those typical mid-winter Saturday's in February when you succumb to cabin fever and need to get out of the house. The temperature was predicted to be in the mid-sixties so we decided to take the pretty two-hour drive to Taos and eat at our favorite restaurant. We got kind of a late start so we didn't... More

I have been to Doc Martin's at least a dozen times. It used to be one of my favorites, but then after a few mediocre visits fell of my list. Some friends recently booked us in for dinner, so I had to return - and I am glad I did. It turned out to be a pleasure. Doc Martin's is... More

This restaurant is a Northern New Mexico legend that continues to add interesting new items to its menu, like rabbit & rattlesnake sausage and green chile cheesecake that I enjoyed on my last visit there.

Stoped for brunch after a hike. They have Bloody Mary specials for $4. Great food. Only down side was the service was slow. There was maybe 3 other people eating there and it took awhile for our food. But worth a try!

We stayed the the Old Taos Inn over New Year's Eve. The stay was great, good music every night, nice bar area. However, the Doc Martin's restaurant was a huge disappointment. We ate there twice, hoping to get a better impression the second time. The food was average the first time, but worse the second time. Sort of glutinous portions... More

Greetings Nelly K, I am sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience at Doc Martins. During the holiday season we are particularly busy, and unfortunately with that high volume there are moments we don't shine our brightest. I would like to extend a certificate to you for lunch on us if you do find yourself in... More

Chose the restaurant because we were in the Taos Inn for a cocktail and it looked very inviting. The ambience is very relaxing, SW style. The menu choices were well varied, the quality just average+. The service was well meaning but could have been more professional; e.g. I prefer red wine at room temperature, expected a rectification not a long... More
