On a recent Sunday morning had the big breakfast of buckwheat pancakes (took 3/4 home!) with REAL maple syrup, eggs, toast, yummy home fries, good jam -- all served hot and delicious! Wish the coffee had not been so weak...service was pleasant and the setting was nice. Would be nice to have some background music -- light jazz, maybe?

This restaurant has a lot of potential but management needs to get involved. I might go back for lunch if it was in the neighborhood. But the wait staff was so slow I'd be worried I'd be late back to work. -Food quality The food was ok. Between average and poor. The risotto was mushy (as expected) but without much... More

Having celiac disease, as well as many other allergies and dietary restrictions, it is so nice to finally have a place I can enjoy a great (gluten free) meal and not have to worry or wait for the discomfort if it's been contaminated in some way! And there are many options I haven't been able to indulge in for a... More

My husband and I stopped in to Fifty South on a whim when the restaurant we were reserved at lost power. The place was mostly empty so we thought a nice quiet evening would ensue. (Not so much) The chips and tapenade were very good and food was a solid 3.5-4*. If you enjoy hearing loud screams and schrilling voices... More

We have been to a wedding catered by 50 South and it was the best food we have had at a wedding. So we looked forward to our first visit to the restaurant and it was fantastic. The board at the entrance shows their associations with local farmers and artisans. We had the smoked dusk macaroni and cheese which was... More

We loved the new menu with continuing emphasis on local sourcing. The chips and tapenade are a wonderful start to any meal. The maple salmon was exceptional.

We randomly wandered in here before a concert after the place we were thinking of going was closed. Holy moly did we luck out! This place is great and the type of place we love back home- local, fresh ingredients. Burger was amazing. My wife said her ruben was possibly hte best she has ever had. Staff is friendly and... This restaurant offers a limited number of items, but each one is excellent. There were seemingly house made potato chips and tapenade for each table (instead of the usual bread/rolls). The soup, a broccoli, leek and cream was perfect. Stuffed mushroom appetizer was delightful, a bargain at $6. The vegetarian entree (stuffed portobello mushroom) was visually gorgeous and tasty excellent... More

A friend and I had been to the restaurant several times and enjoyed ourselves. The last visit was so horrendous we will never return. My friend got a gluten free reuben, and half the corned beef was so thick and tough it was inedible. Showed it to the waitress, she went into the kitchen and came back saying the cook... More

So refreshing to know where your food comes from! We had the Sunday brunch and I never had eggs potatoes or toast so fresh no exaggeration. The chef added real hot peppers and generous portions of goat cheese. We will definitely be back and excited to try the dinner and amazing organic wine list.
