My husband read about this place online so we decided to give it a shot while visiting Beacon. I like hole-in-the-wall type places, but this one takes the cake. The place is small and rough. The menu is limited - very limited - to burgers, fries, chips and a couple of salads. We went with the flow and ordered burgers... More

This is a really small burger place right on Main Street. We sat in what was sort of a booth (walls on either side of the table, but you had to slide across chairs to get in). Ordered just a plain burger and it was good. Nothing huge and it does not come with fries or chips. It is served... More

Went with some friends based on word of mouth. Ordered their "classic" quarter pound burger, the server informed me it came with cheese and pickles. Fine. Asked for it to be cooked to medium. Quite a while later our burgers came, one of our group ordered fries and aioli. The burgers came to the table wrapped in aluminum foil and... More

Don't get me wrong, I think the burgers are great. But $9. for a burger plain no side of anthing but 2 slices of tiny pickles. I asked for some lettuce and tomato and they said it's a buck for each. LOL It's obnoxious. Charge $12.95 and include fries, lettuce and tomato. That will make it easier to swallow. Every... More

After walking past Poppy's a number of times during our stay and reading some of the glowing reviews on Tripadvisor we were really looking forward to our Poppy's experience, especially given the marketing of sumptuous burgers full of salad and "winner of the best burger in the Hudson Valley". How wrong we were, as the burger was small and had... More

Oh my gosh... all I can say is the best burgers and fries..... grass fed and fresh. Has a small dining area and good assortment of beverages . Get your burgers and head to the river, your backyard or wherever to enjoy a yummy treat. Also have, from what close friends have said, awesome veggie burgers. You have got to... More

We stopped in for a burger for lunch while in town for a wedding. We had a big group and every person loved their food- regular burgers and veggie burgers. If you are in Beacon, it's a must try!

We were looking for a place to eat lunch and cool off and we stopped in here. The service was great and the food was even better. They had a good selection of local craft beers and their sodas were local as well and they tasted great. The French fries were awesome and the bacon burger I had melted in... More

Poppy's is a nice, quiet place to grab a unique and delicious burger, catered to your taste. The menu offers a variety of patties (including vegetarian options), incredible sides (like the sweet potato fries) and some delicious bottled soft drinks. It's located right in the center of Main St and always has room for diners!

Poppy's is a great place to have a burger or pub style food. In the warmer months you can sit outside in an enclosed courtyard. Burgers are great and are made fresh.
