We ate in the Seven Stone Steps Tavern, the more casual of the two restaurants attached to the Lincklaer Hotel. Efficient service. Food was delicious, especially the smoked gouda fondue appetizer. Reasonable prices: three drinks, one appetizer and two fish fry dinners came to $70. An all-around satisfying experience.

We thought we had found the perfect place for a light meal after a long day meeting with customers. What a disappointment this place was!! When I walked in, it felt like I was in Ireland (one of my favorite places to visit). Quaint pub feel, pub atmosphere...just what I was looking for. Red flags went off in my head... More

We love a good popover and this place is famous for them! We came for a late lunch in the off season so we were able to take popovers "to go." It is not guaranteed that they will always have them. You can re-heat the popovers the next day and they are still outstanding. The overall menu is excellent with... More

We eat at the Stone Steps or Lincklaen once a month or so. The food here has always been hit-or-miss, but the food (and service) at our most recent visit was disappointing. My companion ordered a sandwich (turkey club) and I ordered a salad topped with chicken and balsamic vinaigrette. The turkey club was served with homemade chips. Chips were... More

Marybeth, Thank you for the business, we are upset that we didn't meet your expectations. We have been going through some restructuring to resolve some of the inconsistent concerns. If possible could you let me know a couple of things about your visit? My email is linckhouse@aol.com. Thank you When were you here? Did a manager stop by the table?... More

We ate at Seven Stone Steps, the tavern area of the Lincklaen House. My 11 year old son loves the burger. They don't offer a burger on the kids menu, so he ate the entire 8 oz burger and can't wait to go back. The services was prompt and friendly. I love that my son likes a place that I... More

This charming restaurant right in the center of the town of Cazenovia is just lovely. The restaurant is beautiful, food is very good and the staff courteous. If you are in the area and are not familiar w the town of Cazenovia, make time to see it. And then make reservations to either dine upstairs at the Lincklaen House, or... More

Fine dining with creative flare. Portions are the right size. The popovers are a must. The service was attentive, personal, and relaxed. The atmosphere appears quite stuffy and antique elegant, but once in there see that jeans and a collared polo shirt is acceptable attire.

We were seated by the fireplace which was nice since it was cold outside. I ordered the sirloin steak (without the pepper) which was the best steak I've had in many years. The popover was delicious. The only food I wish the served was a baked potato since, as a Weight Watcher, I'm not really keen on the garlic mashed... More

Very nice menu and great server. The rubin was very good. Tender lean corn beef made an excellent sandwich. However...the French dip was not edible. The beef was cut very thick and had an awful texture. Slippery tasteless and slimy. We didn't say anything when our waitress cleared our table. When she brought our check she told us she took... I have had dinner in the downstairs tavern twice and the food is great. The chicken riggies are probably the best I have ever had and most recently I orderd a Tuscan Martini pizza that was the best pizza I have ever had. The prices are also very reasonable for this level of quality.
