I went for the "All You Can Eat Sauerbraten" special, but I couldn't finish half of it. It was nasty. Another person in our party had the broiled haddock and it was burnt. Now we know why the dining room was almost empty. Not a...destination that I would recommend.More

Three very small pieces of perch on a large roll. Cut the roll in half and put all three pieces on one side. Served without fries or chips. $7.49 - I thought was a lot. A fair sandwich would of had at least 5 of...that size perch to fill the size of the roll. I was hungry after having lunch. My husband wanted burger with onion rings. Could not upgrade from fries to onion rings, we had to order off of appetizer menu so it was $15 for burger and onion rings. I have heard good things but I was not of fan of portions/prices. Would not go back.More
Really like to dine in locally ownedguy xdr restaurants vs regional/national chains. This little gem has been around a long time and gets better with age. Stopped for breakfast/lunch . My wife and I had the chicken & rice soup. Very tasty and chicken sooo...tender. My wife had a BLT and I a walleye sandwich. Now where else can you get a walleye sandwich? Great service and comforting atmosphere.More
The service wasn't the best. My wife ordered the prime rib dinner with mashed potatoes and applesauce. The meal came out with a baked potato instead of mashed, which our server brought back and exchanged. Her prime rib was cold, and I don't mean luke...warm, it was cold. The server brought it back to be microwaved and returned. She never did get her applesauce. I opted for the chopped serloin dinner and it was okay at best. Maybe we just hit it on an off day.More
We tried this place while visiting and staying in the Brewerton area. Found the portions to be generous, food was served hot, and the menu had lots of options. i love the classic taverns from stage-coach days and this one has been updated, but retains...its' charm. Give it a try ... i love patronizing non-chain , local, places when travelling. on one side (if you don't choose to sit in the dining room) is a pub/bar with the bar, tvs and hi-tables. I am sure this is quite the place to be come game day.More
