I have wanted to visit them for a while, but it is far from my hoboken base. Food is good but not extra, meaning it does not worth for me to come all this way, having decent mex places close by. But if you are local, authentic food is served; we tried different tacos, a huarache, a tamal and the... More

I have never tasted more authentic and delicious and fresh Mexican food. I have traveled to Mexico and it doesn't get better than here. The tamales are amazing as are the enchiladas. Mouth-watering guacamole too. I just wish they offered wine, although the 'drink of the day'- watermelon margarita was pretty good. It is a small place but our party... More

Started with chips and guacamole absolutely a must. Then a tamale and enchiladas verde that is worthy of every bite. The prices are reasonable and not a wait for lunch.

I worked in this neighborhood and probably ate Nixtamal tacos at least once a week for two years straight. They're amazing dine-in and even solid for takeout and catering. Just had lunch here after being away for a couple years, and their digs and taco bowls have gotten even BETTER.

Found this place looking for reasonably priced restaurants. This is very much a fresh handmade Mexican restaurant. They have 4 different fresh made tamales in traditional corn husks steamed hot. One was the Eliote, a fresh sweet corn tamale served with creme. I also order the verde tamale which was chicken with a verse mixture. Both were excellent. The salsa... More

I stopped for lunch on Tuesday afternoon, and took two tacos (chicken and carnitas) and a tamale to go. I expected good food; I got great food. The tacos were typical good fare, a single tortilla filled with chopped onion and cilantro along with the protein. I was given two sauces, one a run-of-the-mill red hot, and a delicious green... I came here based on a recommendation. The homemade tortillas really sold me on the place. Great festive atmosphere inside. Staff were friendly. Service was pretty fast. I ordered a few tacos. The homemade tortillas were pretty good. The tacos themselves were good but nothing special. Of the ones I had I think the Al Pastor was best. Price-wise it... More

This is our go to restaurant when we crave Mexican. Service is efficient and attentive. Ambiance is festive. I love the art on the walls. Out door dining is available, weather permitting. The space is small and can be rather busy on weekends with locals and the foodies who heard about this place on a food channel program. The large... More
