This is a typical bar with "Bar Food". They need to expand their menu items. As for a quick drink, it's fine.
We were there during the annual Irish Music week, which is perhaps the worst time to judge a place. Still, the food was good, the service was good. The waitress kept confusing Smithwicks for Guiness. Easy error to make, though!

john runs a great business, from the great food that his wife makes to the nice people.Always have fun there and that's what counts to me....The BEST Shepard's pie you are going to eat....
This is a good place if you do not mind eating in a bar setting. The drinks are good and the food is okay. I have stopped in several times but would not be my first choice.
The Shamrock is a good place to enjoy a pint and some conversation. The food was edible but not the best. Might stop when thirsty but would go to another restaurant for food.
