I love Village Inn. If you want real home cooked food that is just incredible or if you just want a beer and wings Village Inn is for you. If this isn't enough, the third reason why you might stop here is for the desserts.

If a friend hadn't recommended this restaurant we would never have found it. It is located on a residential street and looks like just another house. It is not a large restaurant but that adds to it's charm. The menu was varied and the servings were huge. We both had the 1/2 chicken dinner. One dinner would have been more... More

This is a very nice casual restaurant in Grand Island. You can enjoy every meal sitting on their enclosed porch or in the dining room. The menu offerings are very good and plentiful. The soups, made in house, are always excellent.

Stopped in for quick lunch. French onion soup is the best I ever had. BBQ wings were great. Really cool place with great food and service. Don't let the exterior scare you away. It's a hidden gem.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Buffalo area. Beef on weck is my favorite. The fish fry and soups are also very good. I love this place.

My husband and I were going out with friends who live on the Island and they had heard good reviews about this restaurant. We arrived on a Friday evening close to 8:30 pm. The restaurant is in an old house. We walked in the front door and it was standing room only. The bar is to the right and patrons... More

We go here about once every couple of months. They have the best soup I ever tasted. Lemon tabasco clam chowder. It's amazing. Great flavor, not too spicy. Just right. The French Onion soup is excellent as well.

Description
The Village Inn is located in the historic Ferry Village in Grand Island, New York. Its quaint, homelike atmosphere and close proximity to the Niagara River make this restaurant a popular meeting place for locals, as well as for those visiting off island. In 1988, owner Michael Carr took over The Village Inn that was previously named Lippens Grill. He changed the name to The Village Inn, which was inspired by his father. With the help of his friends and family, he renovated this 1890's building to make it the cozy eatery that it is today. At The Village Inn, we pride ourselves on creating all of our food from scratch. We are best known for our unique, culinarily adventurous soups as well as baking all of our desserts in house from homemade recipes. From our moist and sweet bread puddings to our spicy lemon tabasco clam chowder, we strive to please all taste buds. The Village Inn has customers from all over the area that come in to experience this one of a kind restaurant. You are sure to enjoy your meal served by our light-hearted, welcoming wait staff while engaging in our distinctive dining atmosphere. All of us at The Village Inn are looking forward to your dining with us while experiencing our historic niche in Ferry Village.
