We were here for a Birthday celebration and were very impressed with the staff and the fabulous food. The best part may have been the plethora of Dr. Frank wine they had available.

Some of the food was not the best. The Wok Noodles were pretty good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Environment was so-so. Overly expensive for atmosphere and food.
Thank You for your review. Im sorry that you did not enjoy everything. It would be helpful if you could be more specific about what you didn't like about the food or the environment. I can be reached at 607 868 3636 Thank You Rich More
We love this place! It's friendly atmosphere and friendly staff is worth the trip,,,,, we started with the local beer she met me do a little taste first, so I ordered the beer, I can't remember what it was,😞 we had calamari for appetizer, which was very tasty the sauce made the dish, the salad we ordered was mixture of... Our group of 33 Gulpy Sippers on our 10th Annual wine tour made a reservation for lunch on the decks of The Lakeside Restaurant and Tavern this past Saturday under sunny blue skies and a perfect day. Chef Michael suggested we do a buffet and he was right! He made us the best burgers with bacon, cheese and awesomeness as... More
Not that that has anything to do with the food. Paige was our server and very good. The halibut special was slightly over cooked but flavorful and had 4 nice size chunks of lobster on top. The veggie mix wasn't your standard squash, it had shaved sautéed brussel sprouts and green beans. Strip steak special was large, but more medium... More
Thanks for your review. The Lakeside was never white with a blue roof. You must be thinking of another place. More
We were visiting the Finger Lakes and driving around and came upon this restaurant. We went by it made a safe u-turn and went in. We were so glad we did. the night before there was a wedding and they were setting the deck back up. It was accessible by car and boat. The view was unbelievable. We had lunch... More
We were staying next door at the Hampton Inn and asked about this restaurant when checking in. The girl at check in hadn't eaten there herself, but said she's been sending people over there. It was a beautiful spot so we thought we would give it a try. We were very happy with everything........sitting outside on the patio with the... More
We thought the food was wonderful: crab claws were to die for; duck was well done and nicely presented. Only things we didn't like is the slowness of wait staff; and the fact that between 4pm and 5pm you can't get any food except appetizers because they're "switching the kitchen". Never heard of anything like that. Nice view of lake... More
Food is good but not great. Very expensive for a casual place. Portions on some items like rib eye steak were very large but. Scallops were skimpy. Caesar salad was good but not great. Waiter was nice but all help are very young and not well trained. Dinner plates left on table when desserts were brought out. Summer eating out... More

I think it's important to point out that the Lakeside had a kitchen fire the week before this review was written. When we visited there that same week, it was obvious to anyone that the management and staff were doing everything they could to provide service while rebuilding the kitchen at the same time. I would urge readers to avoid judging a place based on a negative review like this which criticizes performance during a crisis which was beyond managements control. Those of us who do frequent this place are very appreciative of the investments made by management over the past two seasons and we were more than please that they managed to even stay open during that time period.
