There are days when it's good and other days that it is mediocre. I'm not sure why this is. Perhaps different meal preparers.

Wife and I in town again. Had to have last night dinner at one of our favorites. They did not disappoint. I had the carbonara. Outstanding, as always. The wife had the veal saltimbocca. She thought it was a little salty. It tasted perfect to me. We paired this meal with a great bottle of Rosenblum Zinfandel from California. Something... More
Over the years I've purchased many cakes from Taninos. They're always delicious. They're almost always decorated spectacularly. One of my most recent had a little fondant frog with Hoppy Birthday on it. I've had traditional decoration, wedding, and specialty decor. There were a couple times that the decoration wasn't exactly what I'd had in mind. I'd say if the look... More
I love dropping in by myself or with a friend for a cup of coffee or tea and a bakery item. Their selection is wonderful, with a lot of Italian-themed items, along with many others. Everything I've tried is very good. I know they also serve lunches, but I haven't had lunch there yet.....every time I go it's for one... More

this turned out to be our second time at Tanino's, and both times were very enjoyable. Service was good, despite it being a busy evening. Food was very tasty. We'll definitely return next time we're in Horseheads
I have frequented this pastry shop several times and I guess I'm not 'feeling it' the war most others seem to be. I just can't agree that this is the 'best bakery' in town....Actually, it is the 'only bakery' in Horseheads so perhaps this is what people mean? Many of the items are definitely good however overall it is inconsistent... More
This was a nice find, not in a location you would expect. The food was very good, although the portions were a little on the small side. I'll definitely be back.
They recently added a lunch menu to the cafe and it is delicious. I've enjoyed the caprese sandwich, the roast beef and the ruben.Everything is made to order and portions are generous topped with homemade chips. They have soup and salad to choose from also. It is hard to resist the bakery items, everything looks tempting. My favorite is any... More
