Love this diner. So much better than the others in the area. We love the Roumanian steak and the fact that there is no share charge since the portions are so generous!

We hit this place through a recommendation and have been back there five times. From the efficient and friendly waiters and waitress to the eclectic menu and so delicious specialties. It is now a staple in our family. I drive 45 minutes to get here and it is so worth it. The prices are great too

Food has always been good but recently much improved. Not sure if a change in the kitchen staff. If you were not a fan in the past, I would recommend giving it another try,

Whenever I am in the area of this diner I stop by. The food is consistently good.. The service is good too, friendly, although at times not always speedy. The ambiance is lovely and the place is spotless. I stopped there for lunch yesterday. What a treat. I had the Dix Hills Melt lunch special, It consisted of matzoh ball... More

This is one of the last of the traditional Greek diners. With rising food costs and completion from chains, the traditional diners are disappearing. Also, the owners who put in long hours to make it work are retiring and their kids don't want to go into the family business. Visit independently owned diners often before they disappear.

We are not diner lovers as we find them to be blah. We've been to this diner, however, several times for both breakfast and dinner because it is convenient and has ample parking. We try something different each time because their food is always delicious. Last night we had the chicken burger bruschetta with pesto and it was unusual, hot... More

Absolutely love this diner!!! We are regulars here and we enjoy it every time we go. Try the baked clams or baked crabmeat absolutely delicious!! Also their meatballs and spaghetti will give grandma a little competition. The fish entrees are excellent and their specials give you tons of food...can't say enough good things!! The chef is amazing!!

I happen to agree with alot of people who have gone to the dix hills Diner and have said that it makes it worth while to enjoy having breakfast there or even a late night bite if you so desire ,the employees there are always friendly and polite and even the service it self is incredible !Rhonda Bienes

For thanksgiving, the stuffing was awful and even the gravy. Worst diner I've ever been to. There was nothing tasty at all. Do not recommend

Stopped by for a quick lunch while waiting for a car repair. There was a fulfilling lunch special. Crowded but moved fast.
