We dine here regularly for our "special occasion meals" or when we want to have a great meal and splurge a little. We have also frequented this restaurant for the past 3 years on New Years Eve as they serve their ala carte menu and do not rush the food on a rather busy evening in most places. The service... I had not been back to Red Hat for a while and felt like a good meal which is certainly what I had. They give you lovely little potato pancakes always with something special on them for starters. I usually get a Caesar salad but this time I did not. For my entrée I had the Roast Duck special served... More

I'm from the big apple but have lived in Paris for three decades. I must admit my taste of course has been influenced by the fact that I live in one of the most incredible countries in Europe for cuisine. Also spoiled by living in a market neighborhood where 6 times a week I can by fresh produce from local... More

Let me start off by saying the view is awesome, finding the restaurant is somewhat difficult from the parking area. The specialty drink menu is a treat but they are not in the habit of making drinks that are not on their menu. The lunch menu was OK with an assortment of options and I chose to go with the... More

I had dinner at the Red Hat with friends. It was the first time for me, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere: the food was incredibly good, the service was OK (we needed to ask for spoons for the soup) and the place is beautiful. Unfortunately, we went in December, but according to the manager, the best time to go... More

I recently had lunch at the Red Hat with a business companion. I have dined here before and have to say, it was once she terrific! From the host to the waitress, to the excellent food. Their version of steak frites was fantastic. I almost forgot to mention the beautiful views of the Hudson River that the Resturant is situated... More

Reclaimed from the old Lord & Burnham greenhouse factory, this stylish restaurant in right on the Hudson. The food is good and the service attentive. It's pricey, but worth it.

Went to lunch with a group of 9. Red Hat always handles the crowd well. The noise makes it difficult to talk with such a big group. The food is good. I personally had Butternut squash soup, the swordfish tacos, key lime pie and iced tea. Can't beat the Hudson River view. I'll be back again.

Thanksgiving was with relatives in Westchester, so we stayed in a Westchester hotel. Good fortune led us to the Red Hat on the River restaurant in Irvington, NY. One of the best meals we've had in a long time. Ask for a table on the upper level for a great view of the Hudson River. Impeccable service, wonderful decor, nice... More

We came here for brunch/lunch on a stormy day so the view was rather dramatic :) We were seated upstairs which I found rather cosy and you are still able to see the water. Between the three of us we had the quinoa salad which was fantastic, the Cubano sandwich, also fine and a bun less burger. We were all... More
