This place was actually referred to me by an Indian. But I was not impressed. Was there for lunch and they had a typical buffet for lunch. The naan was very good, but the other items seemed like they were trying to cut corners to get their cost on the buffet down. I would not return. I gave them an... More

Portrayed in purpose of enthusiasm for my book, The Fast Track One-Day Detox Diet (Morgan Road Books, 2005), this framework is, when in doubt, less an eating regimen than a multipart program for sound living. It has been intentionally attempted in a clinical setting.

Tried this for dinner as it was a couple of blocks from the LIC Hotel, where I am staying. The chicken pakora was more like chicken strips than what was expecting, but the flavor was outstanding. Lamb biryani was, I think, milder than I was expecting, but loaded with lamb and the portion was so large even I couldn't finish... More

The food was so good that I began wanting to eat Indian food regularly but was unable to find any other Indian restaurant to match their flavor and portions. My husband, who is the pickiest eater in the world, even loved their food. I will have to drive to get their food, but it is worth it. I'm glad I... More

Food is good, portions are usually generous. Service is not great and this has not improved with the renovation which has significant improved the interior. I take out more often than I eat in, but the quality of the food does keep me as a regular customer.

The service was at best luke warm. The food was not terrible, but not that great. There is a deli shop around the corner called Jassis, which has tastier food.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants, ever. I've been travelling all over the world and the food served here is one of the best Indian meal ever. This all at a very fair price as well. Don't mind the interior as it is rather "old baked".

It isn't pretty but the food is very good - very popular with locals, business people and cab drivers, this unassuming diner is holding what is no doubt a prime real estate spot in Long Island City, an area now being developed with condos and restaurants. Indian food with complex flavours, well priced. Everything I have had here is terrific... More

We stayed at the Comfort Inn, a few blocks away from this restaurant. Wanted to have Indian food and this was the closest. Five Star Diner is adjacent to the Five Star Banquet. We went to the Diner on a Sunday at about 2 pm. There is no buffet on Sundays. So, we ordered from the menu - Malai Kofta,... More
