I've been to Stillwater a few times and only for drinks this time. Last year it was my pick for Valentines with my wife. One of the best stops whether it's the winter or summer.

We stopped here for drinks and lunch while out sledding. Cool place, lots of history, right on the lake. Must stop for anyone riding.

We almost stayed here when we were looking for a place to visit on Stillwater Reservoir...I am SO glad that we DIDN'T!! Because there is NO way I would have spent a night there!! We stopped into the restaurant to grab a bite to eat and a drink and it was FILTHY!! The glasses in the bar hadn't been washed... More

This is the only restaurant within miles, and if you are boating on the Stillwater Reservoir or staying at the hotel or nearby, it is a great location. I agree that it is too rustic for some people, with the dogs allowed on the deck and no pretenses. I wasn't asked my religion nor did I feel uncomfortable not being... More

Stopped for a snack and coffee while waiting for the boat to Beaver River. While we didn't eat a full meal, we snacked on the crab cakes which were the best I have had. Nice relaxing view on the porch as hummingbirds entertained us.

I was here three weeks prior o my last visit. The service was good and the meal was better than average. Not many people there, first trip. My guess this makes a huge difference. Plus it was during the week and not a weekend So my girlfriend and I were having friends over for the weekend. We decided to go out... More

Food was very good, but they have a dog wandering around the tables (sanitary? ). Also we were asked by the owner if we were Christians before we ordered, don't know what that has to do with our service. View is very nice but not worth the hassle

My husband and I decided to try Stillwater Hotel after seeing it listed at the #1 dining in our area. It was about a 30 minute drive up some dirt roads (if you are unfamiliar with the area you will want to pay attention, low-no shoulders and some sharp turns)! The evening unfortunately was perfect for deer flies so we... More

The food is average but the view of the water is spectacular and the owners are great people! Friday is roast beef night, but you better get there early!! The deck is a great place for cocktails and if the weather's bad you can sit at their bar which also has an area for purchasing shirts and hats, and also... More

If you can maneuver the route from some places to get here this is a great place to stop! Be sure to say hi to Marian from the NJ crew! She's full of a wealth of information and history on the surrounding areas. They make a mean turkey sandwich too! It hit the spot for the ride back. Great drinks,... More
