This restaurant should come with a warning "come hungry". The room is a bit noisy but the folks there are friendly and we were happy to have conversations with are neighboring tables. The meal starts with a salad family style. I then had the Pork Chops over Fries - and wow - only was able to eat half the generous... More

Unlike the other posted reviews, we were very disappointed with our visit to Arturos. The place was freezing (unless you were seated under the heat vents) and the server was one of those very unfriendly, unsmiling types. The Pasta Fagioli soup was a weak flavored, thin broth affair- I've been eating it my whole life and it's always a thick... More

We came to Arturo's for dinner with friends and because it's good Italian food and known for large portions. We had no idea they have live singing (Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin tunes) on Friday nights which was a nice surprise. However we were seated in the main dining room where the singing and music took place and it was... More

As always the Mussels are delicious and the 1/2 order is huge Arturo's Tavern has the only perfect Vinegar and Oil salad dressing we have ever found, we took home what we couldn't finish. Homemade Cavatelli with Broccoli Rabe and Chicken in a Garlic and Oil sauce was wonderful. A special of Homemade " Velvet Ribbon " pasta with Crumbled... More

Family style portions - friendly service - comfy log cabin interior. We had dinner for 6 - from Seafood, Chicken, Steak, Mussel's, Clams, Veggie dishes. Kids portions were huge. Every plate is enough for 2-3. Steak was the only dish that wasn't up to par. Not much flavor or tender and veggies a bit over cooked....but everything else was a... More

This restaurant is our favorite Italian restaurant in Putnam. The veal cutlet parmigiana is excellent. Try the nuttellatini after dinner. It is a grown up treat. Plenty of parking.

So I called ahead and asked how the bolognese was before ordering it, she said very good. I said I was looking for a hearty meat sauce... What I got was orange thin sauce with some sort of shredded meat sparsely distributed throughout the dish! I was so disappointed and have been on a quest to find a good bolognese... More

The food is fantastic, we certainly have our favorite dishes, but we do love trying a new dish from the "specials" menu. The ambiance is lovely and inviting, it has a romantic feel, yet it is very family friendly. Extensive food menu and very impressive martini menu. All the portions are large, but that fits well with the over sized... More
