If you like hibachi, and have border-line uncontrollable kids, this is a great place for you to bring them for some dinner entertainment and so there loud screams get drowned out by the natural airplane sounding hummmm this place somehow makes when it fills up, which it usually does by 6-7. The food and sauces are delicious, truly..Highly recommended.

I haven't been to a Benihana in years. After going last night with my family, it quickly came back to me why. The food is bland and wickedly overpriced. The "showmanship" of the chef is robotic, rehearsed and even bored the chef himself. Kids seem to like the volcano and shooting flames for the millisecond it lasts. And if you... More

Unfortunately I was forced to go for my younger son, who gets a kick out of the hibachi demonstration. Honestly the restaurant should consider shutting down and re-opening as a new establishment with a new flare. The sushi is pre-made and tastes refrigerated, the fried rice you pay extra for - tastes like white rice with lots of soy sauce,... More

Wonderful long established place for Kid's Birthday parties. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the cooking show on the table immediately in front of you. Be sure to ask for "The Volcano." Food is standard for A Japanese Hibachi restaurant. Total bill adds up.

Eating at a Benihana is pretty much the same no matter where the restaurant is located. No Long Island childhood is complete without at least one visit to Benihana. The food is OK Japanese fare. (Let's face it, one can find better Japanese cuisine in any number of smaller, less-well-known places.) But it's the show performed during the preparation of... More

Teppanyaki requires skill and showmanship. It has some specific moves that they should make without being cheesy. Not only did our chef not make the moves, but the adjacent chef also did not have the moves. The hibachi was only ok and they did not have uni. My wife likes hibachi, so we may go back, but I won't be... More

Great place for a dinner out with family or a birthday or other special occasion. Very cool show. They cook on the table right in front of you. Other highlights include onion volcano and knife tricks,

Guess I made a huge mistake by ordering the sushi since it was barely edible. Along with the dreadful noise level and total lack of talent of the person doing the hibachi, this could easily rate as one of the worst meals I have ever had. And the prices are extremely high. I have had excellent sushi for 3/4 the... More

Even though this is a chain restaurant, food and service is very good. The bar has very poor house wine for Happy Hour. They may not serve anything better at other times, but stay away from the house swill. The food and show are fine. The show is getting dull, after twenty years of seeing it, but the food is... More
