My significant other is Portuguese, and we have been to many local Portuguese restaurants, and Bairrada is by far the best. Most people go for the all you can eat, but the individual entrees are better - succulent skirt steak, excellent roasted baby pig on Sundays. All served with salad and rice/potatoes/veg. Leave room for dessert!

In a business trip, and because I am portuguese, I was insistently told about this restaurant and went there also to check if I could meet portuguese people. I was surprised that the food is actually incredibly good. We had to wait half an hour for a table, but it was worth it. Three tables were celebrating birthdays. I guess... More

Excellent food! The service is friendly and they don't rush you out the door when you are done eating. The atmosphere is busy and lively with conversation. My favorite place to in Mineola!

We have not been back to dine in this immediate area for several decades since moving out of state. Since it was Long Island Restaurant Week we decided to meet friends half way and dine at Bairrada. Our friends neglected to check if the restaurant was participating, which they were not, but all turned out well as Bairrada's serves family... More

Was there Wednesday night and the place was packed. Go with the nonstop meat. It was amazing. Had a few Portuguese Beers to go with my meal and I was a happy man. The bacon wrapped chicken was spot on and the various meats were cooked perfectly and served table side. Can't wait to go back.

I have been going to this place regularly eversince my friend brought me this restaurant. You just have to wait a little longer but its worth it. Their chicken is to die for. You must try their dessert as well. I love their tres leches cake. You will keep on coming back for more.

Would love to come here more often, but no reservations are accepted. Food is good. Wait time between 6-8 is always more the 30 minutes. Patience is rewarded here.

Neighborhood eatery, amazing chicken, prime rib, roast pork just as good for take-out as eating in. Of course, eating in allows all the terrific extras served with the meal-salad, home made potato chips, olives and the best sangria!
