I have eaten here before and sitting outside on a sunny lunchtime is pleasant. Staff very attentive and basic local dishes are enjoyable if not top flight but the prices are reasonable. Filled up quickly after 12.00. Good village to visit for an hour or two.

Good average restaurant ideally located near to the chateau. Friendly service and quite full when we were there which is always a good indication of a successful restaurant. Prices were very reasonable with several menus including a vegetarian menu which isn't always easy to find in France.

Situated in the beautiful village, we found this small resto. Friendly service we chose the menu for 14 EUR. Fresh and home made food, a good rilette. Lokal burgundy wine, teasonably priced

We had just arrived in France that morning from via an intercontinental flight and drove from CDG to Sainte Sabine where our room was not yet ready. We had planned to fight jetlag by going to Chateauneuf-en-auxois to get some exercise and light before returning to our hotel and we were quite hungry by this point. The village is really... More

This very old (in continuous business for 500 years!) restaurant has loads of rustic charm and is owned and operated by a young couple who cook, serve, etc. Menu focus is on regional Burgundian dishes and is homey in style. That said, portions are hearty and very tasty. Proprietors are kind and very solicitous.

We originally stopped for coffee and to warm up. Then we returned on a nice evening to eat outside. It's right in the middle of a courtyard with the Town Offices across the way. Several people were enjoying an evening drink. The food was fine but nothing to get excited about. Good, friendly service. Looks to be family owned. Helpful... More

I enjoyed a pleasant potato, egg, tomato and lettuce salad as a starter then rabbit in a mustard sauce main with sliced & fried potatoes, half a jacket potato and some rather overcooked green beans. My wife did not however enjoy her Coq au vin with similar accompaniments. The wine was good value and the music box that the owner... More

Very nice place to eat in the centre of the town. I had the steak which melted in your mouth! The salads come small and large which were excellent. The host was also very nice.

Dropped in at lunch time by chance and had an excellent home cooked meal at this comfortable restaurant which also had an open fire going.

We turned up unannounced and famished at 9.45 pm on an autumn evening as the holiday season was ending and the rest of the village was in darkness. One other couple was finishing their meal. We received a tremendously warm welcome. Food straightforward, service cheerful and prompt. The restaurant is atmospheric and well placed at the centre of this beautiful... More
