I will start out by acknowledging that a lot of people just love this place. I don't know if that is because it is 'The place to be seen.' It always appears to be very crowded whenever I drive past. Last night we met friends at the Farmer & the Fish and I was not impressed. First of all, the... More

As someone who cooks, and uses herbs in lieu of salt, I appreciate farm to table cooking. My friend and I split dishes to extend our experience. The potato leek soup was tasty but not hot. We then had a pasta dish and a fish. The food preparation was good, but it lacked in flavor. The key lime tart was... More

You know when you go to a restaurant and everything is perfect? This was our experience last night! The tuna, swordfish, steak, and raw bar was amazing. The service was impeccable. The wine the waiter recommended was stupendous. Atmosphere was delightful. Decor was so interesting you could almost feel 1700s all over again. If you want to enjoy dinner for... More

I don't know how to say it anyway else. This place was my number one for quite some time. I loved it. In their mission to squeeze in more people and get the ones that are in out faster, a lot fell trough the cracks. Your fish portions got considerably smaller. There is more other stuff on your plate now.... More

You can't top the food here - especially the local ingredient salads and the raw bar. The service is generally friendly - not always careful and the pace of the meals can be erratic. Today was lightnibg fast except for the fact that two of us ordered oysters and the two dishes arrived 15 miutes apart - and without an... More

I love the lunches and dinners here. Definitely stop at the farm shop for the freshest products. What I recently bought: eggs, cheddar cheese, milk in glass bottle w cream on top, fresh salads by the pound and some juices. Lunch was a fabulous burger, grilled to perfection and I requested a salad instead of fries. Lovely dressing! My dining... More

We dined here last week for restaurant week special of $22.95 for 3 courses. Our cream of mushroom soup was the best I have ever tasted and presentation was lovely. Crispy mushrooms in the bowl with an edible nasturtium flower on top and soup poured right at the table. My green vegetable risotto with three perfectly cooked scallops on top... More

I've been coming here for a few years now and, without fail, everyone I bring with me leaves with a full belly and great memories! Food: Let me just tell you that you couldn't get fresher or better tasting clams if you went out and pulled them from the ocean yourself! They are always sweet, meaty and amazing! The raw... More

I introduced several friends to this restaurant this week. We all live in mid Westchester. They were more than impressed and all loved everything about Farmer and The Fish. Everyone was very pleased with everything they ordered. I am always looking to try new dishes and so ordered The polenta fries. Even though everyone had regular fries, I ended up... More

Went here for late night dinner and the place was still hoping. I had fish and chips which was great as were the drinks. Their fresh fish dishes and shell fish offerings are top notch
