I say surprising because I expected mediocre muffins and coffee and got a delicious breakfast sandwich, a bunch of cookies, and they had a great latte menu. While my friend and I wanted a sit down brunch nearby that was closed, we were happy to...More

The selection of coffees and food items was fine; I have no issue with that. The coffee was ok and the muffin my wife had was pretty good. From the start, we got attitude from the counter person. I wanted a two egg sandwich which...More

Just stopped by for a latte while on a bicycle ride. I didn't try any of the food so can't comment in this regard.

I really wanted to like the food here, but it just wasn't good. I had been here before with my husband and sister for coffee, but I wouldn't have their food again unless it's a bagel (I saw someone else with a bagel with stuff...More

What a nice addition to Tannersville. After Smiley's ice cream closed last year, we were pretty upset that the best custard ice cream shop in the area had shut down. With the opening of Mamma's Boy

We stopped at Mama's Boy twice during a recent stay in the area. They have a nice outdoor area and are pet friendly, which was the main draw for us, since we had a dog with us. Great coffee and quick, friendly service. They have...More

Excellent Iced Coffee and Smoothie. Friendly staff and great choice of cakes and cookies for a quick refresh after riding all day through the Catskills.

Description
Phone: 845-688-3050 This cafe/market opened at the end of May 2010, and we discovered it when we visited Phoenicia for a weekend in October 2010. It features homemade and local-sourced food in a very casual atmosphere (no table service - you order and pay for your food, then have a seat). We stopped by three times because we enjoyed the food so much and we thought the owner (Michael) was great. He is supporting the community in tangible ways (sponsoring scarecrow-making and a Halloween parade) while serving delicious food. They are even serving s'mores by a campfire in front of the store on Friday and Saturday evenings! Makes me want to live in Phoenicia.....
Mama's Boy serves Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner; you can stop in for a cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate, dessert, or a whole meal. Michael will make you feel welcome no matter what.
