Cute little place with amazing service. Menu is great for the non-meat eater. But carnivores can be happy with meat selections. Buffalo cauliflower was to die for---if you like Franks Hit Sauce it is for you. Asparagus sandwich was "okay", lightly fried coating, chickpea burger was great!

This was the first restaurant I visited in Rochester. Went with a friend who eats kosher. I eat everything, but often eat vegetarian in restaurants just for the thrill of it. We both found dishes that we liked, we had good wine, and the waitors and waitresses were friendly and attentive. The small dishes are large, compared to European standards.... More

I had an outstanding dinner at the bar of The Owl House. I travel for work and try not to eat mundane meals. The Owl House did not disappoint. Fresh, local, well-prepared food, with a twist, some fine micro-brews on tap, and a superb bar. I will return. I opted not to have the pan-seared scallops, but someone nearby did,... More

Rochester, NY is a small town but with a lot of local restaurants. Owl house makes everything in house! The food is yummy, the service is good and it's not too expensive. I liked the cauliflower starter but found it to be a little salty for my taste. Maybe because of the sriracha sauce.. it was nice but couldn't eat... More

My dearest friend from grade school took me here for dinner. What a find, in the city's central business district. It's a little house, just south of the Strong Museum. You enter the lobby- bar area. There's seating downstairs and up. The menu is eclectic and varied. The people next to us were enjoying the Buffalo cauliflower wings, which smelled... More

Although this is not a vegetarian restaurant, the menu includes several vegetarian options and they all sound terrific! We ordered three dishes and after we tasted the first one - the beet Napoleon - it was obvious that the chef has very specialized and fine knowledge of vegetarian cooking. The flavors blended perfectly and harmoniously together, not one single ingredient... More

A really good restaurant. Unpretentious. Superb, creative cuisine. We started with beet and apple and gouda plate, baked. It was wonderful. Then an acorn squash stuffed with goat cheese. Delicious. Finally, a polenta. Really good. Too bad there was no dessert left. Excellent service. We had a very nice Portuguese red. Real value. Only drawback: the decor. Awful paintings on... More

Everything I put in my mouth was amazing!! The Buffalo cauliflower "wings" were super tasty. BVE Burger was juicy and the Sriracha-/strawberry jam lent a sweet savory unique flavor. Served with house-made potato chips that had a hint of rosemary. Very good. A menu of craft beers and cocktails. Cozy atmosphere that had a slightly Speakeasy vibe with jazz music... More

Amazing! Like dinner more than lunch. Their buffalo cauliflower app is the best ever! And the jam on their burgers- killer. Make a reservation- they fill up quick.
