The traditional margherita pizza was excellent. The sauce made it particularly good. We also had the Bianca, which was tasty too, but the margherita was really good. We enjoyed looking at the vintage photos of Italy, especially Venice, which were on the walls.

We enjoyed Veneto; the service and ambience were good, and the food was quite good, though the pizza wasn't mind-blowing.

Good was excellent. Service was great and the atmosphere is nice, kind of quiet. The chicken parmigiano was excellent. The only thing that is a downfall of the place is that the selection is limited, but they cook the food fresh.

Corking fee high ($15). Service good. Hostess -- very confused! Like calling me asking if I was keeping my reservation and I was seated! Apps good. Chicken Parm -- bad dry sauce looked like it had been warmed up several times. snapper special $26 -- good but really for that price ? Ummm no.

Our group ordered a variety of food including pizzas, salads and pasta dishes. Everyone was very satisfied with their choices. We will definitely eat at Veneto's again.

We went here Friday afternoon with 4 other friends. The place is not to big inside but it's pretty clean and they also have outside seating. I order the homemade gnocchi with the vodka sauce and it was so flavorful. My other buddies both ordered the pizza( mushroom and the other one order the Greek pizza) which I tried the... More

Where do I begin? The place is loud, with no chance of being able to have a relaxed conversation. The table was a large scale version of a bar table. I'm six foot and I could not reach the floor from my chair/stool. Not comfortable. Our server was friendly and helpful, up until we had food issues. Then she just... More

Took my niece here for her birthday... 2 of us got the pasta rustica. Really good. Homemade pasta with Italian sausage, peppers and onions in a red sauce... Delicious! My wife got the gnocchi in vodka sauce... I'll probably get that next time... So good! I've had the wood fire pizza in the rustica style other times I've been there.... More

There is a major highway project at the end of the street so come by way of Culver or Park or University or East Ave to the restaurant. Thanks to the construction they are glad you came. Sit inside or out (they are far enough away you don't get the dust or the noise. Fantastic Woodfired pizzas about 14 inches... More

As ChipD58 pointed out, this is great time to go to Veneto, because the construction at the corner has badly affected the crowds. What it hasn't affected is the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. My wife had the soup of the day, which she enjoyed. I had n appetizer special of eggplant and artichoke hearts,... More

Description
Veneto is a casual dining restaurant located in downtown Rochester's East End district. For 13 years, we've specialized in from-scratch, light Italian food in an old world atmosphere. Our atmosphere is upscale, yet casual. The kitchen is our centerpiece, as it should be, and set up so that you may watch your meals being prepared right in front of you. The exposed brick in our 150+ year old building and wood furniture provides a warmth and if that's not enough, the wood fired pizza oven reaches 600 degrees. We'd be honored if you would dine with us and let the food, service, and ambiance speak for itself. Our Signature offerings include wood-fired pizzas and hand-made pastas.
