Food is tasty and hot. Nothing fancy here. Reasonable prices and large portions. Definitely a favorite in Rochester

If you are expecting fine dining this is not the place to go. What this is is a burger joint that represents who Rochester is. It's a little dirty; a little rough around the edges; but it has CHARACTER! The Garbage Plate is who Rochester is! This is an off-shoot of the original Nick Tahou's in downtown Rochester. I actually... More

Best experienced late at night, Steve T (Formerly a "Nick Tahou Hots" location) is a Rochester staple and serves one of the best plates out there. For the uninitiated, the standard plate is a layer of Home Fries and Macaroni salad, 2 cheeseburgers or Hot Dogs (No Buns), and topped with "Hot sauce" (A meat based chili sauce), Onions, and... To most Rochestarians, this is the place for the classic plate. If you dont feel like driving downtown for the first place a garbage plate was served, go here. It's the exact same product, started by the same family.

Stopped in for a quick bite and grabbed a hamburger with a side of onion rings. Enjoyed the hamburger with the Steve T hot sauce which which had a nice taste but thought the onion rings were just average. Still, the place is a good stop for someone who enjoys food off the grill (hots, hamburgers, fries, etc) and I... More

Stopped here twice on vacation to enjoy the garbage plates. They were great and the staff were the same. Had hots on my first plate. Cheeseburgers on my second plate.

While in town you have to get a Garbage Plate and Steve Ts is one of the originals. It looks like a mess but it tastes delicious. Open 24 hours so a great place to come after a night of drinking.

Awesome Rochester style Red Hots. Dogs were smothered in mustard onion and an awesome chili sauce. Will be a stop for me anytime I am in the rochester area

Nick Tahoe was the original and this place has changed names but I think is similar owner. The garbage plate is what you're here for. Don't waste your time going to competitors this is the place to go for a real garbage plate. Cheeseburgers home fries and mac salad. Yum.

You can't mess with an original... Or can you? I used to come here once or twice a week for years. The plates were the best and the staff knew how to deal with the rowdy bar crowd after 2am. Sometimes they even hired security on weekends. Then I moved away for a couple of years and when I came... More
