Great food served by knowlegable staff in a really cool setting; an original train dining car! The Highland Diner serves breakfast all day, great burgers and sandwiches, old fashioned milkshakes and root beer floats! Good food at a fair price. One of Rochesters' true gems!

My husband and I love to go to the Cinema Theater, and we figured we'd try the Highland Diner since it's right across the street. We thought it could become our go-to spot whenever we go to the theater. My husband had the Friday special, the fish fry. It was very large and he liked the fish, but did not... More

Chicken Oscar Benedict?!? How could I pass that up? The hollandaise could have used a little lemon, but other than that it was just as good as I had hoped. I'll have to come back... there were at least half a dozen other Benedicts I want to try!

Love this place. My go to for breakfast. Quick, great service and great food. They are always busy and usually full so I just sit at the bar when I come by myself.

One of my favorite breakfast Diners in town. It can have a long wait on weekends and also very crowded seating.

I love a good retro diner and Highland park diner knocks it out of the park! Set in a old boxcar complete with bar, booths, neon lights, etc the atmosphere is so fun! We came for breakfast and it was packed but we were quickly seated. The food was great! I had eggs over easy and my husband had a... More

This is a great dinner hidden in Rochester. It is an old dinner car filled with friendly staff and great food. We were in Rochester for a hockey tournament and went twice.

My Favorite Restaurant in Rochester. My Husband and I went there on our first date almost 30 years ago. We now live in Chicago, but everytime I come home to visit I stop in for the Highland Burger.

The food here is terrific. It's a small diner with some Rochester history. Not sure if there is anything more Rochestarian than the Highland diner. Definitely a must go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
