four of us stopped in for dinner when our destination restaurant was closed. things started off a bit rocky when we couldn't find someone to seat us, but as soon as a wait person was found things improved quickly. the salad bar and drinks were okay, but all four of our entrees were just perfect. three of us had steaks... Owners too cocky. And he serves underage kids and there are a lot of fights. Food average. Open cash register and doesn't ring everything up. Troopers know it too but it's ok.

We were staying at the Motel for the first time-there were four of us there to fish and golf. The availability of an onsite restaurant was a plus. Anyone we spoke to said try the prime rib. So dinner time we walked in without reservations as this was a Monday and the place was maybe half full. Our waitress, whom... More

We've been coming here for years now. This area is the home of fly fishing in America. The Rockland House is a must. Great steaks, soup and salad bar. The strawberry shortcake is a must! Long live tradition

The Rockland House was recommended to us by a friend. The food was very good and the service was great. Nice salad bar with homemade soup and fresh bread. My prime rib was done exactly as I ordered it. Definitely worth a try.

After checking into the Rockland House Motel, we decided to grab a bite to eat at the restaurant since it was on the premise. I believe I observed roughly 30 tables with "two other parties inside." The interior of the restaurant itself was very nice and clean. I saw two waitresses but it took awhile before we were even asked... More

the salad bar with heardy soup is a meal for me with the homemade bread. my husband had a flatiron steak and it was cooked just right and well seasoned. My son had a fish dinner with a large sweet potato which was well prepared.the waitress was friendly and efficent.

This is a great find in Roscoe. Have been many times. The food on the menu excellent. Prime ribs superb, burger and various seafood items very good, a few Italian items that I haven't tried. Salad bar OK but nothing special, although bread (homemade) and soups excellent. Can eat at good bar or in restaurant. Some decent wines & beers.... More

A visit to this location for the soup and salad bar alone is worth the trip. During my visit the soup was cheddar with broccoli, and clam chowder. I am not a soup person but like clam chowder, and I loved theirs. The soup was creamy, chunky with potatoes and clams, and delicious. I had four bowls to satisfy my... More
