Great selection of huge sandwiches. The full size sandwich is more than enough to feed two people. Always fresh and tasty. Nice selection of hot foods.Friendly staff makes you feel like family.

I have been coming to VH for about 40 years and the faces (and sandwiches) are still consistent. Prices increased, but only to keep up with everything else. What didn't change over the years is the size and quality of the food.

Great food, super portions and a large variety of heroes. Crowded at lunch but you can usually find a table. A half a hero is plenty, but buy the whole and bring the half home. Really great for breakfast(yes, they do make eggs and omelets) and lunch.

We go to Village Hero a few times a month . They have generous sized heroes , and gigantic iced ties at great prices . Their roast beef is a personal favorite . There are many tables and a television so you can watch ballgame so while having lunch .

Village Hero in Syosset is probably one of the best places to pick up a sandwich! Big heros and very generous portions! Worth every penny! Huge selection of sandwiches and daily specials! Tuna fish is really good! A great place to get sandwiches before a game or the beach!!

Been coming here for over 30 years and things are still the same - both the service and the food are quite good. Try the "Village Special", it's one of their better ones, as is the Grilled Pastrami & Swiss.

I've only been once, so I can't speak firsthand about everything on the extensive menu, but it is definitely extensive. The entire place needs to be torn down and rebuilt, but the food is excellent and the sandwiches and portions are huge and cheap Fries are excellent, onion rings are to be avoided

We were staying at the hotel next door for a week. Having read the great reviews we decided to stop by to get a sub. We each ate half a sub for lunch and the rest for dinner. They are that big! Go hungry...and enjoy!

If you want the biggest and the best hero or sandwich you have to go to Village Hero. I have never seen a bigger sandwich other than at Carnegie Deli in the city. But not only is it the biggest, it's the best! They' e been around for such a long time and there's a reason why. Can't wait to... More
