I had heard a lot of great thing about the Clam Bar but my experience was bland at best. There was a long wait in a crowded bar area for a table, the service wasn't outstanding, the place was cramped and the food was ok. Maybe my expectations were too high, maybe it was an off night, maybe I was... More

I stop into this place often for a quick dinner when I'm in Syracuse on business. The food is good, and the small touches are there...like the garlic-infused butter for spreading on the bread. I had the broiled scallops, which I have often here. They were as good as usual, and my waitress gave me a hard time (in good... More

Found this place because we were hungry for seafood and wanted something close to our hotel. It was amazing. We sat at the bar, service was great and everything was delicious. We had steamed clams and the fried seafood platter. All was terrific, but scallops and fried clams strips were unforgettable. Can't wait to get back and share it with... More

LOVE this place. Iconic local seafood and pasta place, great atmosphere, locals add color, fantastic food and service. Never miss a chance to eat here when I can. My personal preference is the Linguine with White Clam sauce, but anything you order here is great. Can't say enough about it.

Found this place via the Liverpool Knight's Inn's list of local restaurants. Loved the seafood and the cozy bar atmosphere. Would love to come back.

My husband and I went last night and were not overly impressed like we were before. We have been there several times over the years. Last night we had clams casino for an app and they were bland tasting and full of clam shells. They were really disappointing. The scallops I had were good and cooked right but the rice... More

My husband and I had dinner here last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary as we wanted good seafood. They start you off with warm bread and delicious garlic herb butter. We had the clams provincial appetizer and they were wonderful as well. The salad is "eh" as it was 98% iceberg lettuce and I am definitely biased against iceberg... More

Not the first time I have been here and each time you worry about what you may eat as the external and internal appearance does not indicate the quality of the food. My fifth visit and I have not been disappointed. The Clam chowder is a good starting point. The main dishes all have been excellent. I have not been... More

Just returned from eating dinner at the Clam Bar. Being a Saturday night it was busy . After a short wait we were seated in a back area just two tables so totally missing the bar atmosphere and vibe. But it got worse from that point on, we were soon to discover this was staff work alley, staff coming and... More

I am sorry for your inconvenience. One of the struggle we commonly run into is space. It's a very busy place without much storage. We are in a location that we are unable to build on to due to code enforcement. We always try to appease our customers as to where they want to sit. I have talked to my... More

Travelling up I-81 we stopped in Syracuse for lunch. Not much to look at outside but the food was very good. Will return on our next trip
