A group of retired teachers meet once a month for breakfast and conversation and we move our venues around Syracuse always opting for non-chain choices. 6 of us recently ate an unhurried breakfast at this diner and we had 6 different choices and all seemed to be exceptional. The service was prompt , the portions large and an extensive menu... More

Nondescript looking place on a tired local road that runs parallel to I-81 south of Syracuse. Solid inexpensive breakfast with lots of unusual egg-based specialties on menu plus daily specials like eggs benedict with pastrami. My kid had their Italian breakfast sandwich which had eggs & italian sausage on two slices of toasted italian bread. Husband had corned beef hash... More

Ordered half frittata ($6.25), it came loaded, huge pile in a big plate with freshly cooked vegetables. Very generous on the meats. My friend ordered a julienne chicken salad ($6.25). It was huge. The iceberg lettuce is so fresh, no bad leaf or wilted one, chopped nicely, top it with other julienne veggies, warm grilled chicken was a cherry on... More

I've been going on and off to this dump for the last several years and that occasional hair in the potato salad hasn't stopped me from making the same mistake again and again. SO, every now and then I venture off to this mismanaged joke of a diner in hopes I don't find a cigarette butt or band-aid in my... More

Syracuse has a number of great diners and NY Style Diner is one of them. We had HUGE breakfasts that came out hot and timely. It's incredible to me how much good food you get for so little money.

Always a good place to get well fed for a good price, and the gals keep the coffee coming. Easy on/off access from I-81/I-481.

Breakfast is my favorite meal to eat out and this is a very good typical local diner. Good, fast service with great coffee and quick refills. This place stands apart because of the specials they offer - not just something off the menu at a special price but real specials listed on the blackboard. I chose the cream cheese stuffed... More
