Love coming here for all the dishes, but my favorite is the shrimp neighborhood! Haven't been able to find shrimp as delicious as Spiro makes anywhere in the world! Traditional Greek food and a welcoming atmosphere. Worth the trip no matter where you live.

A nice family run restaurant with traditional Greek Menu as well as an excellent fish fry. I still enjoy fish on Friday nights, a hold over from growing up

I took my elderly mom here last week on a scorching night when I came from an hour away to visit her. We were there right as they opened on a Wednesday night and so had the place to ourselves for a short while. It's small and cute- not nearly the size/busyness of the other Greek restaurant on Commercial Drive.... More

Great authentic Greek food. Small restaurant but charming and quaint. Family owned.... Husband cooks while wife and son wait on you. Love the appetizers.

We have been going to the Acropolis for years, and have always loved the food and the Mom and Pop who run the place. It occurred to me last night when we were eating there that over the years we have never been disappointed by the food or the friendly atmosphere. My only caveat would be that it is a... More

This is a great restaurant in the city that is a hidden gem. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. There was only one server the night we were there as the other server was sick. And even then, we got the food served quickly as well as the bill. The owner/cook is from Greece. They have take-out service for... More

In 3 words: GO! GO! GO! Absolutely fantastic! There's so much to rave about, from the warm and CRISP bread that was brought to our table, to the friendly and very attentive server Michael, to the delicious and gi-normous servings! You know how fresh and home-made everything is, when your appetizer Stuffed Grape Leaves are FRESH and HOME MADE, not... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Utica area and I was glad to be able to dine there on a recent visit. Food is delicious - lamb is always perfect and their salad is served with the freshest greens, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Karen & Michael treat you like family and you leave there feeling satisfied and happy.... More

This is an adorable little place located in one of Utica's old fashioned neighborhoods. Truly a hidden gem. Love the atmosphere and the food is great too. There is another extremely popular Greek place in the area, but I prefer the Acropolis for its intimate atmosphere and old fashioned service. If you have lived in the area awhile and like... More

Great authentic Greek food. Had delicious souvlaki and gyros. Nice small family restaurant where the cook is the husband and waitress the wife. Very friendly place.
