Stopped here for dinner with my boss after a long work day. Service and food was great. Our server always seemed to be there when we needed anything, but was never intrusive. I loved this place.

We've been to T&C four times. Each has been a great meal. They use as much locally produced food as possible; everything is always fresh. Bartenders are attentive, and mix good drinks while waiting for seating.

Exceptional in many ways. The dessert wines are too die for. Fantastic service. Simply the best reason to stop in Utica. duck. The steak. The appetizers. All so fine.

My husband, daughter and I had a lovely dinner here after dropping off our younger daughter at nearby Hamilton College. We were exhausted, numb and very hungry. The food and service were a perfect antidote. We started with a cheese plate featuring 5 artisanal cheeses...More

You need to make reservations earlier than a week ahead especially if you have more than two people. I would look at the menu in terms of gluten free, it says exactly what they have.

Description
The Tailor and the Cook is one of the brightest spots in Utica's already rich Culinary nightlife. Attentive service and a comfortable atmosphere support provocative cuisine produced with the finest local products, whenever possible. The management of The Tailor and the Cook is devoted to offering their clientele great food and a path to the farmers and producers who make it happen. The relationship between the food we eat and where it is produced is of growing concern to many. The Tailor and the Cook brings the many bounties of CNY's rich Agriculture to the forefront, giving the public the opportunity to know where there food comes from and how it is produced. Featuring Local Product whenever possible, menus change based on seasonality, freshness, and availability of local goods. A rich and generous selection of Beer, Wine, and Spirits round out the Culinary Package.
