Stopped in on our way back to Syracuse from Pennsylvania. Thought by the packed parking lot that this must be good. I should have trusted my intuition when I first walked in by how old and dingy everything looked. We sat and waited patiently for a drink then everything after that. Service was very slow and a Hibachi vegetable dinner... More

It didn't seem like there was much around in the area, so I always fall back on Japanese Steakhouses. The atmosphere was very inviting, parties around me were having a great time and the wait staff was very friendly and courteous. Prices are normal for a japanese steak house. I had the sushi and it was fresh. I enjoyed my... More

The at,ospher, the entertaining chef and the delicious menu is a pleasure. We celebrate special occasions there all the time. While not interested in sushi, my family says it is very good.

Excitement all round as knifes fly through the air and your food is shooting 3 foot flames. We love coming here as we get a show and a meal all together. You'll feel like those seals at SeaWorld when the chef tosses shrimp in your direction (try to catch it with your mouth...not your eyeball). The filet mignon meal is... More

Stopped in and had some drinks and sushi at the bar. Sushi was very fresh and served quickly. The drinks were very ample. We had a variety of dishes, all of which were very good. Richard the owner came over and asked if all enjoyed the meal and asked if we were satisfied. It's nice to know the boss is... More

The people at the table were friendly and I enjoyed eating with them. This was one of the cooking tables and other times I was there the chef was very interested in putting on an interesting and engaging show, which is a major part of the reason you go there. Most of the food was very good but my steak... More

I took my wife here for her birthday, and we had such an awesome time! The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! The cook, Tom, was very funny and entertaining. I had so much fun, and left very satisfied with the food, and service and everything! The staff was very friendly and courteous. I will certainly visit again some day!

I arrived at Kampai for a friends birthday. I initially had decent expectations given that the parking lot was incredibly busy. The place itself however was quite frankly terrible. The hibachi service is quite entertaining however after a while begins to become an annoyance when trying to chat with friends or eat your food. I ordered a breaded chicken dish.... More

We enjoy going to Kampai for both the food and entertainment. Most of the family gets the hibachi and has fun with the show. Those that get other meals have liked them as well. It is on the expensive side so it is not an "every day" place for us but we like to go on special occasions.

It's a good place for an entertaining dinner, if you sit at the habachi but it's over priced for the food quality. The service is good, the sushi bar is decent and the bar makes some great cocktails.
