Promptly seated upstairs as it was a bit cool for alfresco dining. Would have expected a larger crown at 8:30p on a Friday. Great service - multiple waitstaff - no waiting. Good bread and comp apps ~ My app, salad, and entre were ok... but,...More

We went for a first visit here with family who live nearby. Unfortunately, just after placing our entire order my almost 3 year old granddaughter got sick at the table. We rushed up to get her out of her highchair, and to cover up what...More

Enjoyed and early couples dinner. While we waited for a server (the restaurant was busy when we first were seated) for quite some time, we were able to enjoy our drinks (once ordered) and our dinners. We enjoyed dinner followed by coffee and desert.

I recommend the polo Florentine, and the sea bass special was also very good. Service was great, will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

I've had several good lunches here; they generally are the main meal of the day, with good-size portions of fish or chicken and delicious potatoes. The interior is very attractive; getting up to the second floor could be a challenge for people with impaired mobility...More

We made an unplanned, first-time visit to Grappa and we're treated like regular guests. We were seated at the second floor bar while we waited for a table to become available. The waiter carried our drinks to our table from the bar. We enjoyed live...More

When Driton “Tony” Sylaj came to the USA in 2000 he dreamed of owning his own restaurant. Tony was born in Kosova in January 1983. Upon arriving in this country his first goal was to obtain a degree. He attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and received an Associates Degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management. Tony began as a dishwasher in a small Italian cafe and gradually worked his way up to bus boy, waiter and then captain. He became the front of the house manager and then started to develop an interest in food preparation. He began as a prep cook and ultimately became head chef. His culinary background leading to Grappa is quite diverse. He has cooked and managed restaurants with the Hilton and Ritz Carlton hotels as well as Yonkers Raceway and Casino and the Surf Club Catering Hall. All of these experiences confirmed his goals and dreams. He wanted to own a restaurant of his own that featured exceptional food, an intimate atmosphere and a staff of courteous, hard working professionals. Grappa Ristorante is that and more. Ten years of hard work and commitment have allowed the dreams of Driton Sylaj and his partner, Nick Ahmetaj, to become a reality in Warwick Valley, New York. A long way for both from Kosova.
