Just a place near the beach that the boats begin the tour for Prison Island. Reasonable prices but it smells awfully. Live music during the night. Overall average.

We just wanted a beer and happened to pass by on our way from a boat ride to prison island. We saw the F.Mercury tribute on the wall and it was indeed a surprise since we had no idea that he ever lived here, besides that "King photo of F.M" it is just a bar, with the occasional smell from... More

This restaurant has an extensive menu to suit most tastes, from snacks to full meals, and is averagely priced. A Zanzibari spiced curry is approx. TZS 20,000, with drinks between TZS 2500 and 500. Service is quick, the staff are efficient and friendly. I visited here a few times during a seven day stay in Stone Town.

This is just an ordinary bar/restaurant. It isn't even in the very center, but close to ferry port and Old dispensary. It has a nice terrace by the sea with very uncomfortable chairs. The prices are average for Stone town at around 10$ for a main, and beers around 2$. There's a small beach in front, and few Freddy's pics.... More

This restaurant is very busy because of its name. And I am sure they have not improved since my last visit. The location is quite nice, but the standard of the food is below average. Last time I ate there I had a grilled changu fish, which were not so fresh, the pizza was to oily... well, that was my... More

I was really excited to visit the bar this evening with my other half but the reality was very disappointing. Don't be fooled by all the photos pointing the other way, the view is dominated by the sight, sounds and smell of the huge ferry port next door. The drinks are bad and overpriced, the service slow and rude. They... More

The restaurant provides a very relaxing environment, good music and good food. Had taken my lunch here, ordered for their local bestseller, and enjoyed the sea views. Nice location too ~

I've been in Mercury's with some friends of mine for relaxing to avoid the midday heat. After having spent 3 weeks on Zanzibar island, I now can tell that this I the most expensive bar & restaurant I've been to. The prices for simple dishes or also salads often reach up to 10 Euros. The soft drinks are a bit... More

As all stars, they are still "sleepy" in the "morning". You cant get fresh juice at 11 AM. Otherwise nice place place to enjoy view on the ferry terminal in Zanzibar city.

Enjoyed an exotic pineapple, basil, and cilantro pizza ( I know, some would say that's not pizza) near the harbor but overlooking the water. Pizza was around $9 US and, with a Kilimanjaro beer and tip, $15. After 3 weeks in Africa, needed some 'zah' and this was the place. Good service, fair price, decent pizza.
