Went on a shabat night. Food was good, nothing extraordinary, but good. Service however was the worst I have experienced in an Israeli restaurant. Rude, they pretend not to speak english so they won’t have to make the effort. When in the wrong, the owner...More

We recommend to all who intend to visit the Dead Sea! Authentic Bedouin restaurant Taj Mahal. Two sections of the restaurant provide a choice for guests to sit on special sun beds and pillows and eat food reclining. Sipping coffee and tightening a fragrant hookah....More

The exception that confirms the rule ! In ein bokek most of people are unfriendly. Not in tajmahal ! Indian name, Arabic decoration, israelian food ... a great mix ! :)

Ate here twice during our stay at the dead sea. Restaurants are scarce in the hotel area unless you want hotel food. Service was ok, salads and bread were free with main dishes. Plenty of tasty salad dishes and lovely fresh hot breads. I had...More

Ate at Taj Majal based on other TripAdvisor reviews during our one night in Ein Bokek, and were sorely disappointed. To be fair, we had not eaten previously in the restaurant at our hotel, so perhaps the excitement is solely in comparison to mediocre hotel...More

There is no kosher certificate, it's open on Shabbat but I'm almost sure that they use only kosher ingredients. You can always go just for drinks :)

Ein Bokek is a hotel complex by the Dead Sea with few independent restaurants. The Taj Mahal is one of the only free standing restaurants and it is a more pleasant, cheaper and better quality place to eat than the hotel restaurants.
