Arriving at Finlay's did remind us of some Greek tavernas we have previously visited, the BBQ fish was well cooked and arrived quickly and the salad bar was well stocked.

Great food served in a very unique environment. It's a quirky place so don't expect anything and you won't be disappointed. It was a BYO when we visited so remember to take a few beers along.

Great concept and a relaxed atmosphere but his iconic Kalbarri eatery is well overdue for a revamp. Well used tables & chairs and a heap of dusty, rusty "collectables"... get rid of them. We were happy to pay for quality local fish but for the price ($35) I was disappointed that our meals came on throw away plastic plates. The... More

Please don't get me wrong I don't get offended by mindless over opinionated uneducated comments, You actually entertain me!! When there are real issues with food or any thing else I am more than interested as we take pride in what we offer, When most of our complaints are just plain ignorance I can live with that. For $35 you... More

The salad bar is great as you can help yourself to as much as you like which we enjoyed because otherwise the pink snapper and chips we ordered we would of felt was quite pricey given that it's locally caught. I've downgraded it for this reason plus the chips are not fresh which was disappointing. The fish was delicious though... More

I don't understand!!!!!! Are you saying you would prefer cheap imported fish??? Local product costs 75% more than import. We have the biggest freshest CHEAPEST local fish in town by far. Im not interested in farming potatoes, or pressing chips in between filleting fish as I do need time to sleep. We do use good quality Australian potato chips. A... More

Interesting place has been in Kalbarri for many years. Go with open mind and don't expect anything flash. The fish and size of serve was excellent, friendly staff.

Don't miss this place when you're in town. The kids are dancing under the lights and roasting marshmallows on the fire whilst the rest of us are feasting on the best Bbq fish, oysters and snapper wings on the west coast. Thanks so much to the crew for the hospitality. #happydays

Very local, very quirky and great food. Good local produce, unique setting and great service. We were there early so all a bit confusing but not at all once you settle in! But the marshmallows early as they will sell out and who doesn't want to roast them on the open fire pit?! Even on a 33 degree day!! :)

This is a well known place to eat in Kalbarri. We were recommended to come here for the fresh seafood and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is well sign posted and back from the main part of town, there is ample parking out front. Inside your eyes are treated to a display of old nautical artefacts, I particularly liked seeing... More

A bit different. It is rustic and a bit hard to work out how you order and where you sit and so on. But the fish was good. I was the first guest on the night, so that probably made it more difficult and they were running late with the set-up. Good for families though. Given the basic nature of... More

Last went here years ago when it was legendary so thought we'd give it a try. Took a bottle of wine and an open mind. There was an open fire, great vibe and decor gives you plenty to look at. I had bbq pink snapper which was just yummo, fresh, big and simply cooked. Missus had chilli mussels that were... More
