We came in for dessert. There weren't any tables available but we were able to sit near the bar which was fine. The waitress just chucked the menus on the table and walked off. I was shocked by this behaviour as I have worked in hospitality for many years. We thought she might come back and take our order....10 minutes... More

Good location on the water and some creative cookery such as licorice parfait for dessert. The service was good too. Overall a great experience.

Pros: Nice food. Great views. Outdoor seating. Heaters for evening dining. Cons: Very small portions. Relatively expensive. Staff weren't very friendly.

Very nice food but small portions. But if you do not have such big appetites as we usually do, you are quite safe:-)

The food was lovely. We ordered the shared seafood entree which was great to see something different on offer than mussels which are in all eaterys in coromandel. The duck and steak for a main were also beautiful. The barman was very accomodation g in my dislike for lime and managed fantastic feijoa mojitos with lemon instead. It was very... More

Really quite good for lunch. Had an excellent salad and calamari dish. View is nice, even somewhat calming despite being right off the road.

The wifi was free and the daily cocktails were delish. The taro chips were also very good and I'd never seen them done in hot chips style. Yummy with friendly staff and a nice outdoor deck with boat views

We went to salt for dinner. Lovely starters. Very disappointed with the mains. My beetroot salad with goat cheese was so small that I thought it was a joke. My husband was also very disappointed with his main fish of the day. Lovely staff, but we won't go back.

Great 'shared' starter of raw and smoked fish. Beautifully prepared and presented. Went downhill from here! 'Market Fish' - this evening Snapper - on a bed of sauté potatoes, broccoli and tomatoes. ONE tomatoe warmed with its little green stalk (for effect?) ONE stalk of broccoli (world wide shortage?) and some over cooked, grey fish. Not at all pleasant .......... More

Four of us were looking for a nice place to have a dinner on a Thursday night, 12 January, it was 6 minutes passed 9pm, still daylight but starting to get dark. We were rejected a table as the kitchen closed at 9 pm (???). The restaurant was half full at the time. What a shame for Whitianga tourism, can't... More
