Before making my comments, I must admit that I didn't order "The Lunch" that everyone orders here, which is the beef on weck. so I probably should make any disparaging remarks. But I thought my lunch was very average.....I ordered the "Chef Salad," which was little more than a "clamshell" pre-packaged box of greens, with little else on it besides... More

We go here solely for the Beef on Weck. I don't think it can be beat. Sliced fresh off a Medium / Medium Rare roast beef and served on a Kummelweck bun (a bun topped with salt and caraway seeds), it's amazing. The ambiance is basically ancient diner, but I guess now that's part of it's charm. They also serve... More

Located so close to the Buffalo airport, it's the first thing I get when I fly into Buffalo. Charlies has been around for years, and offers one of the best, if not the best, beef on weck in the area. Some have complained about the cost. A tip: the meat (not the sandwiches) is available in local supermarkets, as advertised... More

We stopped by chance after seeing an ad in the airport. You walk in and you are transported back in time. It's totally original and the food was unbelievably good. Every time I've come to Buffalo I've heard about a Weck sandwich but have never had an original. Charlie's is the real deal!!! It was like a party in my... More

Hello - We heard of Beef on Weck and tried it here. Very good - the beef was savory and moist/and the bun was amazing. Price was around 6.99 for 1. For a family, things add up. Sides are extra (except for a pickle). Now - the one thing that could absolutely make this place is a bit more friendliness... More

One of our favorite stops when we fly into the Buffalo-Niagara Airport is for a delicious carved sandwich at Charlie the Butcher’s Kitchen. It’s perfectly located near the airport for a quick stop or take-out order right before take-off or after landing. Our favorite that keeps us coming back is “Beef on Weck,” a sandwich that is a Buffalo tradition... More

Best beef on weck sandwich around! Hand carved, with speed and precision. Only minus is lack of adequate seating.
