This was the best fettuccine Alfredo I have had in years (as good as prepared by the original Alfredo's in Rome). One of our family members needed gluten free options and everyone in the restaurant was knowledgeable of gluten free option needs and preparation. This was a wonderful find for a great restaurant and we will be back.

First, the place is very cool. Lots of big art, beautiful bar, and the staff could not be more accommodating. That's what makes what I'm about to write...hard. We had our kids in town so went over to Sorrento's...craving Italian. I'm half Italian and grew up in an Italian home which means we lived around a table. My Mother wrote... More

Family Italian bistro, where "everybody knows your name," or at least wants to. The manager (Jennifer) said they served the best alfredo in the world, and she could be telling the truth.

Have had 4 meals there last month. Starting with the service - it was great. Ditto for the food - favourite was the fresh trout dinner.

Haven't had food this good in years! And sooo reasonably priced. We were waiting for our daughters and friends to finish snowboarding at Sugar Mountain and decided to find a place nearby to grab a bite to eat a quick lunch. We ended up in Banner Elk and drove through the quaint downtown area. We saw three restaurants that looked... More

Loved our meal at Sorrento's. They understand gluten free and offered wonderful options. Great atmosphere!

We only had bruschetta and pizza, so that's all we can comment on. The bruschetta was nice (one order was enough for two) and with the added touch of a hint of balsamic glaze nicely decorated across. The chopped tomato was not the "traditional" one, but had nice additions we could not quite figure out -- all in all quite... More

From the moment of our arrival, to the completion of our meal, our server Summer was unbelievable! We showed up 20 minutes early for our reservations & she greeted us with a smile. I made her aware we had arrived prior to our reservation & asked if it was okay, she commented: "It's more than okay, we are ready for... More

We have had a vacation home in Blowing Rock for over 10 years and only knew of a few Italian Restaurants; nothing impressive. There is Casa Rustica which is charming however the food is average and the sauce is nothing to write home about. Although charming (a log cabin) it is dated and needs updating…the interior of the building and... More

Driving through Banner Elk of course you expect to find an Italian restaurant. Why not? Unfortunately they had a set menu on New Year's Day I didn't get to taste you try and food. However I'm sure it's very good based on what we had. My girlfriend had shrimp and grits. She states that the shrimp was perfectly done, not... More
