Roland's is a cafeteria style restaurant where you order your food at the counter, they plate it up for you on a tray and send you down the line to the cashier. There was a variety of southern and east Carolina BBQ favorites. Menu items included BBQ, collards, mac and cheese, hush puppies, green beans, butter beans, corn, amazing fried... More

Over the last year Roland's has been in a steep dive. Seafood at Roland's is a no go, it's simple terrible. The scallops smell so badly they take your breath. The fish is not fresh and freezer burnt. The shrimp are farm raised. On my last visit I ordered the Rib Plate. The ribs were cold and fatty. Also the... More

Don't judge a book by its cover, that's all I can say. It may not look 5 star, but they have the best fried fish and sides around. Great prices.

Got take out. BBQ was very good and Cole slaw was outstanding. Liked that the BBQ was chopped well. Also, Roland's BBQ was $1.50 less expensive per pound than other major BBQ restaurants in the Morehead City area.

If you have a big crowd and want some great food, go to Roland's Barbeque for their take out. You'll be eating the hush puppies out of the bag before you make it out of their parking lot!!! Best Barbeque, fried chicken and banana pudding! Lots more too!

I'm not going to lie. I found the food here to all taste the same. I am guessing that they use the same deep fryer for fish as they do for the chicken, fries, & hush puppies. It's not the worst food I have ever tasted but I think having my chicken taste like fish was a bit surprising. If... More

Roland knows how to cook good solid home cooked food. It's not a place to go for atmosphere or a special occasion, but a place to get some good grub at a good price. Pork Chop dinner today $6.95, Shrimp dinner $12.95. Good prices and good sides. Keep on truckin' Roland!

I go here for the the pork BBQ and fried chicken. While not the best BBQ, its not bad. Lots of other items to choose from. You can eat inside or take out. Been around a long time.

Most BBQ is good, this is VERY good. Give it a try for good Carolina BBQ. A real local place, if you like these.
