I had the very best roasted beet salad at Cherubs Cafe in Belmont, NC. The beets were perfectly roasted, the spring lettuce and arugula was fresh and crisp, and the goat cheese balls rolled in chopped pecans added another layer of complexity to the salad. I was even able to get un-sweet iced tea with my lunch. The service was... More

We enjoyed our lunch here: it was freshly made, nicely presented, and very reasonable. Among the four of us we tried the roast beef panini, the BLT, the French onion soup, and the quiche of the day. The quiche wasn't enjoyed as much as the soup and sandwiches, and the potato salad was quite bland. But the restaurant is nicer... More

My first visit to Cherubs Cafe and it was lovely! Wait staff are friendly, efficient and professional. The soup of the day was a black bean vegetarian - excellent with lots of black beans, tomatoes, celery and corn - a a bit of cheese in a savory broth. The 'signature' chicken salad 'scoop' was excellent....shredded not in chunks - seasoned... More

The breakfasts we had were very good, inexpensive, with a very nice staff. The Cafe furthermore provides income to a worthy cause, helping those with developmental disabilities.

Cherubs has great sandwiches, soups, and quiches, but what's even better is that they give folks with developmental disabilities a chance to work and gain real job skills. The food is really good, but the experience is what keeps me coming back.

The quiche of the day is always good. Everything is fresh and delicious. The service is wonderful, and meaningful, as some of the employees are residents of The Holy Angels. I highly recommend it.

Cherubs is a great place for lunch. The restaurant is also a great place for young people to work that may not otherwise be able to find employment. A great combination. The chicken salad is made fresh and is delicious! Plus, they have an ice cream bar also....a great way to top off a meal.

Cherubs is a mission of Holy Angels, a Belmont residential home for profoundly challenged children and adults. The restaurant provides a work experience for some of the homes most advanced residents, in a quality breakfast and luncheon operation. There is anice selection of sandwiches and salads, and excellent soups changing daily. Sales benefit the charity, a 60 year old operation... More
