The Ale House in Black Mountain is our favorite place to go for tasty food and excellent service. Patricia and I have been coming to the Ale House for about 5 years. Not once have we been disappointed in food or service. Their wings and wedge salad just can’t be beat. The staff is very friendly and service oriented and... More

I used to come here about once a month when traveling through town. I really liked their burgers and chose it over the many other delicious dining options in town. The last 2 visits though have been pretty bad. This last visit our service was terrible and food was just ok. I'll usually give a place a second chance after... More

Driving through town we stopped at Black Mountain Ale House. What a find! Local beer, great burgers, delicious sweet potato fries, and five star fried green tomato appetizer. It was a hit with the whole group!

Even my husband loved them! Hamburger rocked, too. My daughter had the fish & chips which were delicious. Disappointed in the sangria .. kind of tasted like a 'bath bomb' smells...

Great spot for food. My favorite is their burger!! Good selection of food items. Friendly service, full bar and live entertainment with an outdoor patio.

My wife and I visited the Ale House while visiting Black Mountain for a concert. We were pleasantly surprised with it's overall ambiance, service, and delicious food and beverages. I had the fish and chips and the fish was prepared perfectly with a very light beer batter. My wife had a Reuben sandwich that was as good as Reubens she... More

I have had 5 or 6 disappointments here. Mostly the wait staff not giving a hoot if the kitchen got your order right and then the manager not comping you entirely for the errors in the food. Got a nice burger last year and paid extra for sauteed mushrooms and onions [at least $4 more than the meal's menu price].... More
