This was recommended to us by our motel...they weren't wrong. The fish and chips was one of the better ones I've ever had..3 pieces of cod done to perfection..light batter and cooked perfect. My wife had a Gouda burger which she thoroughly enjoyed. If we ever return to the area we're sure this will be our go to place

See my 2014 review for comments about atmosphere. There is something decidedly out of sync about a server with a North Carolina accent wearing a uniform with a Union Jack flag on it. Fortunately this does not affect the quality of the food or drink. Perhaps an owner or the chef is an actual Brit. On my repeat visit to... More

We enjoyed the food and the staff were friendly and great - nice atmosphere - reasonably authentic British pub - only quibble is that the Sam Smith beer should be served at room temperature!

We went here as we had our big dog with us. He loved the cool cement and was greeted with a water bowl and a dog biscuit. Service for adults was also great and the location right in the heart of downtown makes for easy walking to stores. The fish and chips have a great batter and we appreciated the... More

We went to Blowing Rock for the day and went in search for a quaint lunch spot. We decided on Six Pence Pub in downtown Blowing Rock. What a treat! We both ordered the French Onion Soup and it was just about the best we've ever had, rich beef flavor and lots of hardy cut onions with toasted bread covered... More

I have eaten here twice. But I enjoyed eating outside on this trip the most. I had the Trout Po Boy it was very good. Everyone at the table had something different and everyone enjoyed their food.

Enjoyed a Sunday evening meal after a busy day at a music festival. Our meals were good and the service was friendly. Diners could eat inside or out. Loved the Butterfinger cheesecake for dessert.

We stopped for lunch. And ate outdoors, where we could watch folks pass by, and enjoy the weather. We both had their soups - my crab chowder was some of the best ever, and the French onion soup was terrific. Casual, but reall good.

We arrived fairly late one mid week evening, 9pm 'ish asking for food. This was no problem and our request was met with smiles. The menu had plenty of choice and was well priced. The food was really enjoyable and the staff very attentive. We had visited The Six Pence pub in Savannah the week previously and found the same... More

Visited this place during the wine tasting festival and it was loud and boisterous. But that did not hurt the food or service. The wait staff was "on top" of everything and attentive. Our orders for a burger and shepherd's pie were taken quickly and the food was served hot and delicious. The burger was awesomely thick and juicy and... More
