Stopped here on our traveling and was delighted to get a great burger and an even better view of the river. Burger was cooked just right; we added a bowl of chili instead of fries. Black bean chili was spicy and warm and we watched a fisherman outside the window add the perfect ambiance. Service was attentive and they had... More

Had a nice lunch and there is a great view of the river. No rafting or kayaking today, temperature was in the high 30's. Great food and excellent service

The food here is fine. My only problem is with the cleanliness. Everything from the chairs and tables to the menus and floor look like there was a food fight. The plastic table cloths were sticky. The staff wipes them down with a grubby grey cloth. Food particles and sticky surfaces on chairs, the condiment tray and everywhere. The effort... More

We were there on a cold day, but were seated next to a window overlooking the Nantahala. No rafters as the water was too low, but the food was very good and fun place to eat.

My husband & I were traveling & found this on Trip Advisor. It was exactly what were were looking for: outside on the water. I think the building shows it's age, & thought the hostess could have been a bit more welcoming. She seemed distracted & just wanted to seat us. But she definitely was not rude. The waitress was... I had the trout with grits and the grits were some of the best I've ever had...trout was excellent also!! I got there at about 11 a.m. on Sunday and it was crowded but by the time I left it was. Service was great, Teala was my server, and lunch with water was $18.14...not bad. I would definitely go back... More

This place definitely caters to the traveling & outdoorsy crowd, which is perfectly fine. Expect a loud and happy crowd and filling tasty food. We had excellent service and the place was bustling for a Sunday night.

So I had the chicken Sherpa. It was the most tasteless meal I have ever eaten. I even put hot sauce and soy and it was still tasteless Ray had a trout sandwich and it was tough. The French fries were good so we shared those. Don't waste your money or your time.

Stopped in on our way to Robbinsville. Had a great river view, staff was friendly. I had the beef chili and my husband had the pill steak special. Food was excellent, especially the chile ranch. Would definitely recommend this place!
