First time here. A genuine Italian place. Not haughty but somewhat classy. Service good. Selection medium. The veal marsala OK. I need to go back and get more of a traditional pasta dinner to make a really good call.

I am local and Maria's had fallen off our rotation ...not sure why. In any event after a bit of a wait, the wine, apps and dinner were wonderful. The marinara for the fried calamari was spot on. Andrea's Special Veal dish was delicious as was the Penne a la Vodka. There were a couple of minor service glitches due... More

First timer at lunch and was very satisfied with the quality and quantity of delicious Italian food. Lasagna and ravioli were more than ample and excellent presentation and taste. Salads were good size and the house dressing was excellent. Some friends had pizza, salad and drink and they said it was very good and all they could eat. daveg

The penne A La Vodka is my favorite dish, but most everything is excellent. Not the most atmosphere but the food makes up for any shortcomings in that department.

This is a small-to-medium-size, plaza-based storefront restaurant. About 16 tables; glass over white linen tablecloths. Full menu. Lunch menu plates are in the $7.50 range. There is one busy waitress and another lady who roams around refilling drinks etc. We were here for a weekday lunch (far from our first time). The restaurant was nearly full. We received the customary... More

Maria's Cafe used to be one of my favorite places to go for a special occasion, but not anymore. I'm not sure what internally has changed, but it's not the same. The last couple of times the service was slow, even though there were only a few people in the restaurant and they would not allow me to get the... More

Since moving to NC about 8 months ago, we have been searching for a really good Italian restaurant. Well, we finally found it. The food is fantastic, from the appetizer to the salad to the main course. You can tell the ingredients are fresh, and the portion sizes are plentiful. Our server was wonderful, very friendly and attentive. She never... More

Maria's Café consistently provides outstanding service with great food. We go at least twice a month and are never disappointed. It is nice to go to an authentic Italian restaurant where the owner is actually Italian and comes out occasionally to ask for feedback and greet his patrons.

Everything was delightful, from the service to the food. Deliciously prepared, generously plated, and amazing! We are making this a regular stop while in Burlington.

My husband and I discovered Maria's a few years ago and we are so glad we did! It's our favorite place for a nice, quiet dinner....whether just because or for a special occasion. Nice ambiance and great food, good prices too!
